Stephanie + Karl {married} | Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding | Living Radiant Photography | Baltimore Top 10 Wedding Photographers

I don’t normally pray for rain on wedding days unless it’s at the end of the night… and for this wedding, my pray was answered! But let’s start back at the beginning on the day. It didn’t look too good weather wise but minute by minute the forecast shifted. Thankfully it did not impact our ability to photograph portraits and family photos which we feel are some of the most important photos of the day!

As one of our more traditional weddings of the year, everything about this day was strategic. Her mom helped Stephanie get dressed, put her veil in and kissed her cheek. Karl’s dad dressed him and helped him with his tuxedo. They got married in a beautiful church on Kent Island right around the corner from their gorgeous venue, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. If you’ve never been, we hope you get invited there soon to a wedding, it’s just wonderful and has beautiful Bay Bridge views! 

These two did not share a first look so we were excited for Karl to see Stephanie for the first time as she walked down the aisle. Her Uncle Kenny walked her down the aisle as everyone watched her. 

Upon the announcement of them as husband and wife, everyone clapped and cheered, and our newlyweds beamed with joy as they exited the sanctuary. Soon after they were married and family photos wrapped up at the church, we headed to the ballroom and outdoor space at CBBC. I hadn’t been in the new covered cocktail hour space… it is beautiful and we loved seeing all the details! An oyster bar, Onyx the band, a gorgeous cake and beautiful centerpieces with a mix of highs and lows. 

The rest of the night was a blast! The band rocked out, the party raged… and everyone danced… even at their seats and outside. Speaking of outside… right around the last dance, it started to pour. We asked them if we could steal them while they were saying goodbye. They were soo excited! We got them a night shot in the rain!

Steph and Karl, thank you. What an awesome day. Still can’t believe how fast the day went but we loved being alongside you the whole time. We wish you all the best!
