Emily + Irvin | Fallen Oak Distillery Wedding

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Some because of the location. And some stay with you because you can feel how much the day means to everyone who is there. Emily and Irvin’s wedding at Fallen Oak Farm Brewery was all three. 🤍

From the soft pink florals and blue accents to the beautiful outdoor ceremony and open-air pavilion reception, their day was colorful, joyful, emotional, and incredibly personal.

We started the day photographing all of Emily and Irvin’s details, and we loved the soft colors woven throughout everything. Pink florals, touches of blue, gold details, and some seriously gorgeous rings made for such a pretty start to their gallery.

As Emily got ready with her girls, there was plenty of laughter and excitement—but also one of the most meaningful moments of the entire day. Emily’s dad has passed away, and her uncle surprised her with a special gift created in his memory. It included photos and the words, “I will always be with you.” Cue all the tears.

It was one of those moments where the room completely changed. Her bridesmaids were emotional, Emily was emotional, and we were so thankful to be there to preserve it for her. Wedding days are full of big moments, but often it’s these quiet, unexpected ones that become some of the most important photographs.

Emily and Irvin decided to do a first look, giving them a few minutes together before everything officially began. We LOVE a first look for exactly this reason. A wedding day moves incredibly fast, and having a moment where the two of you can see each other, take everything in, and actually be together before the ceremony can be so special.

There was excitement, nerves, lots of smiles, and that immediate sense of, Okay. We’re doing this. And then it was time to get married!

Emily and Irvin’s ceremony was one of the most unique parts of their wedding day. Their ceremony was held in Spanish with a translator so all of their family and friends could fully experience it together. We loved seeing two languages and families come together so intentionally. But one of our favorite parts was the worship. They had a live band during the ceremony and took time to worship together before officially becoming husband and wife. There was something incredibly powerful about watching a couple pause in the middle of their wedding ceremony and center the beginning of their marriage around their faith.

It wasn’t simply a ceremony to get through before the party. It felt meaningful, intentional, and completely reflective of who Emily and Irvin are. And when they were finally pronounced married?! PURE JOY. The smiles coming back down that aisle say everything.

After the ceremony, guests headed into cocktail hour while we photographed Emily and Irvin’s foot washing in front of their families, and wedding party. Fallen Oak Distillery gave us such a fun mixture of backdrops throughout the day—from the rustic red buildings and wooden fencing to open fields, trees, and the gorgeous pavilion.

The reception setup under the pavilion was especially beautiful. Long wooden tables, blue glassware, woven chargers, candles, greenery, and colorful florals made the entire space feel welcoming and relaxed while still being incredibly pretty. It was exactly the kind of space that invites everyone to settle in, grab a drink, eat good food, laugh with people they love, and celebrate.

Emily and Irvin, thank you for trusting us to photograph such an important day in your lives.

We loved the joy woven throughout your wedding, but even more than that, we loved how much meaning was behind it. The way you honored family who couldn’t physically be there, the way your families and cultures were brought together, the time you intentionally made for worship, and the pure happiness on your faces as you walked back down that aisle married—it all made this day yours.

We hope these photographs always bring you back to the people, the laughter, the tears, the prayers, and every little moment surrounding the beginning of your marriage.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs.! 🤍
