Keegan & Luke’s Fenwick Island Beach Engagement Session
We met these two at Keegan’s parents’ beach house in Fenwick Island, which immediately made the whole evening feel less like a formal photo session and more like we were tagging along on one of their favorite beach days. And that is exactly what we want engagement sessions to feel like.
We started on the bayside, wandering around the neighborhood near her parents’ house. Between the marsh grasses, little boardwalks, waterfront views, colorful beach houses, there were SO many fun little pockets to photograph in.
But mostly? Keegan and Luke just laughed. A lot. 😂
These two made our jobs ridiculously easy. They have that playful kind of chemistry where you can tell they genuinely just really like being around each other.
We walked the boardwalks, explored around the neighborhood, found some cool broken down vehicles that turned out to be beachy, fun and classic, and eventually made our way over to the ocean.
And while we’re usually crossing our fingers for that glowing golden beach sunset, the weather gave us something completely different—and we loved it. The soft, cloudy sky turned into the prettiest shades of blue, lavender, and pink as the evening went on. Against the dunes and ocean, it created this romantic pastel backdrop that photographed beautifully.
Shoes came off. They ran through the sand. There was dancing, spinning, kissing, laughing, getting picked up in the air, and plenty of waves crashing behind them. Basically everything a beach engagement session should be. 🌊
One of the things we tell our couples all the time is that your engagement session doesn’t have to happen at a fancy location to be meaningful.
Choose somewhere you actually love.
A family beach house. Your favorite neighborhood. The place you spend your summers. The restaurant you always go to. The beach where you’ve made a hundred memories together. Because when the location means something, the photographs automatically mean more.
Keegan and Luke’s session wasn’t simply “photos at the beach.” We got to document a little piece of their actual life together in Fenwick—and those are always our favorite sessions.
And obviously, we couldn’t call this a proper Fenwick beach night without one more stop…
Kohr Bros Ice Cream, Obviously 🍦
After running around the beach, we headed to Kohr Bros for ice cream.
Because engagement photos + beach + ice cream? YES PLEASE.
We grabbed cones, took a few more photos, and officially wrapped photography for the evening.
But not the night!
In true Living Radiant fashion, we finished everything with dinner together. One of our favorite parts of engagement sessions has always been getting time with our couples outside of simply photographing them. We get to hear more of their story, talk wedding plans, laugh together, and actually build a friendship before wedding day arrives.
By the time we photograph a wedding, we don’t want to feel like vendors showing up with cameras. We want our couples to see familiar faces walking through the door.
Keegan and Luke, we absolutely loved this night with you two. From the bayside boardwalks to barefoot beach adventures, pastel skies, Kohr Bros, and dinner afterward, this one was SO much fun.
And now we’re officially counting down to the wedding!! 🤍🌊🍦
