These two dated in Old Ellicott City and had their first kiss in Old Ellicott City, so it was fitting to do their photos in Old EC. Unfortunately, EC isn’t the same as it used to be, so we had to venture around and find hidden beauty in the rubble. Thanks so much Lauren and Kyle for allowing us to move about, see what we could do with limited locations in a super cute town. This town means a lot to all 4 of us and we are so glad we got to spend time getting to know each other in a town we all love. Oh and that Manor Hill Tavern… we’ve gotta go back and order enough food to have left overs. Clearly we were hungry the first time haha. And Holy Smoke… what a good one. Guys, we can’t wait for your wedding in December! It’s gonna be here so so soon!Read More
Oh Annapolis. Sometimes I think I probably should have been an Annapolis raised girl, only because I love the water, love to sail, love the feel of small towns, local shops, unique food, and love our country and our military.
When James and Jenn said they wanted their photos to be some where different, somewhere not in Baltimore, I knew where to take them. They really wanted photos throughout Annapolis, including at USNA. So, we ventured throughout town. We of course picked by accident the same day as a huge boat show right down Ego Alley, but even still, you wouldn’t have known that Annapolis was swamped with boat show peeps.
Jenn and James, we loved our time with you. Thanks for letting us go a little longer than we were supposed to get you a pretty sweet night shot.Read More
Amanda and Rob, Patrick and I think the world of you both. We are honored we know you, you’ll forever be one of our favorite couples for tons of reasons that you’re aware of and not aware of. Congrats on 1 year! Loved our time with you in Fells Point and can’t wait for our double date!Read More
The day started at Hotel Revival, a really cool Parisian Hotel in Mount Vernon. The collage wall, holy moly, how gorgeous. I was so excited to know that the wedding party was getting ready there, followed by a really sweet first look on the greens of Mt Vernon, with some chill in the air and a slight breeze.
When I walked into the room, Amanda was in the makeup chair, beaming. I was so excited to see our bride, and to know that she was so excited to see us was the best feeling. Seeing us made it feel more real she said, and we gave her a hug and got to work. Her details were beautiful, her dress stunning, and my personal favorite, the reveal with her dad. He gave her a music box, custom sound, a song from her childhood.Read More
Danielle and Shaun got married at the beautiful Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge Golf Course. It was a beautiful day full of excitement and anticipation. I especially loved their first look, with the golf course set behind them. We ventured across the property to get beautiful photos and found endless locations full of beautiful backdrops. When we photograph here I always feel like it’s a destination, I don’t feel like I’m in Maryland because of the terrain and scenery. These two love to travel and incorporated their love of travelling throughout their wedding. My personal favorite was their favors which were luggage tags… I secretly wanted to steal 2 for Patrick and I but of course resisted considering they were at seats.Read More
Saboring Champagne and eating Pizza. I mean, seriously… what a great theme for an engagement session! When Brandon emailed me proposing this idea, Patrick and I were like, absolutely. Dress up, drink champagne (or pretend to) and totally sit with feet over the water eating a box of yummy Papa Johns Pizza… we were all about it.Read More
When we met Caity and Michael, we had just come from a pumpkin patch with our son Zeke. He was a few months old and we were so appreciative that they would be okay with us bringing him with us. As soon as we met them we knew their wedding would be special.
I had never heard of the Tidewater Inn until I was asked by a friend in the industry to shoot a wedding alongside her. I was so excited because we had just booked Caity and Michael’s wedding and I would get to see it before shooting there for one of our couples. Little did we know that it’s sister venue is one of our favorites, the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club!
Caity and Michael found us through a sibling of our past October couples, Fadi and Stephanie, and their families. They shared with us their story, my favorite being that Michael’s son would play a key role in the wedding day. When the day actually came, this guy was honestly, so sweet. Oh… and can he dance. A few special moments of the day for us was watching him give a gift to Caity and Michael, and also the sand pouring during ceremony representing becoming a family of 3.Read More
These guys picked a really cool venue for the engagement session because of their story. Their story begins in 2014 where they met through mutual friends. It wasn’t really until 2017 that they started talking and hanging out, and they really enjoyed time at Big Cork Vineyards both together and with friends. So it was fitting to do their engagement session at Big Cork Winery. What a really cool place.Read More
This wedding for us was a real example of love through thick and thin. Both Lauren and Alex had lost a parent but our couple made sure they were not forgotten. Lauren wanted a lot of color. Nothing trendy, just beautiful and what she wanted. She had a charm, a photo of her dad wrapped around her bouquet. Alex’s mom had passed away so both our bride and groom have once experienced great loss so this marriage was a symbol of unity, love, and memory.Read More
Today we are sharing another beautiful Springfield Manor wedding with Caty-Betz and Kyle! Caty-Betz is a nursing school friend of our Assistant Sarah so it was a ton of fun to see her as a bridesmaid at this wedding! Caty-Betz and Kyle met in college at Randolph Macon in Virginia. Kyle is from New Jersey and Caty-Betz is from Virginia, but they landed in the middle and recently bought a home on the Eastern Shore in Maryland.
I get this email from this bride that didn’t even hesitate to book us. She said we came highly recommended by one of her bridesmaids. Little did we know that our assistant Sarah and scheming to make sure Caty-Betz and Kyle asked us to be their wedding photographers. Honestly, it was a match made by Sarah… Sarah, you officially match made us haha.Read More
