This beautiful November wedding is up on the blog today! And we are absolutely head over heels in love with it! Emily and Cory are a fantastic couple! We first met them in person at the University of DE for their engagement session, where we cruised all over property and they showed us their favorite places! They both are fun and classy yet laid back and sweet. The whole day was fun!
The morning started out full of girls and guys hanging out with siblings and their besties. Emily and Cory both shared beautiful reveals with parents, and the bridesmaids were so excited to see their friend! Soon after, the lovebirds shared a first look on the back lawn over looking the water, where Cory fell apart when he saw his gorgeous bride. From there it was a fast paced morning, full of lots of photos! Everyone championed through because brrr it was cold! But family and wedding party were wonderful to work with and we got them some time inside to thaw before ceremony.
Although it was windy with an outdoor ceremony on the water, the lighting was sooo pretty and over powered what everyone was feeling. I loved the details of florals and pashminas to guests, along with custom pins that her grandmother made to give to everyone and wear. Emily and Cory walked out with friends cheering and got everyone to cocktail hour as soon as possible!
The whole reception was a blast! With a beautiful first dance, emotional parent dances, a sibling dance, wonderful toasts and a yummy dinner, everything was perfect. At one point, we grabbed wedding party, some family and our newlyweds and went outside in the dark to spray champagne! It was so wild and a great break from the hot dance floor!
Emily and Cory, what a day! Thanks for trusting us as we took you out in the dark to fields to capture stars and champagne. Thanks for championing the cold, definitely our coldest wedding of the year and you guys made it look easy! We love your photos, especially those dreamy golden ones in the high grass… so romantic, just like you. We wish you the absolutely best life together and hope our paths cross again soon! Xo
