Where to even begin with this wedding, I’m just in disbelief that this is one of our amazing couples and wedding days. Basically, theres not a single thing that I wish had been different at this wedding. The couple is amazing, the details were so cool and unique, the families were wonderful to work with AND the wedding parties and guests were so cool. There’s so much personalization to this wedding that Im gonna share it!
So let’s start with some things that are just unreal. Basically, Kristy’s mom and her DIYd the florals, the centerpieces, the driftwood favors, and the custom cookies. With what time, I have no idea. But everything is so beautiful and fit together seamlessly. The drift wood was actually collected from their families favorite beach and then a little plaque was added to the pieces. How amazing and what sentimental detail.
But let’s now return to the lead up and morning of this incredible day. Everyone got ready on site, which was a wonderful thing for the Bohemia weddings. Everyone is on property so getting around and finding people is very easy. Kristy got ready with all of her friends around, including her parents. She opened up a really sweet love note letter from her soon to be husband and I loved her response. She also had an emotional reveal with her parents which I absolutely loved.
Charley also got ready with all of his guys and his dad helped him get ready as well. I love the bond between fathers and sons on wedding day so it’s always special to capture those reveals in helping moments. Soon after, our couple shared a first look out by the cocktail hour pond, just the two of them with onlooking parents. The reflecting pond was beautiful with fountains going, however, it was even better with the look Charley had on his face when he saw his bride Kristy! He make it one of the best first look reactions of our entire career and season of 2023 weddings. I absolutely love how much they love each other and how much fun they have together as well.
Soon after our almost newlyweds met up with their wedding party and we knocked out all of their photo priorities on the front end of the day before they got married on the point looking out to the water. Like I mentioned before there were so many cool details that they had made just for the wedding and seeing signs and details throughout the day was so special. Ceremony flew by and our pride, and couple said “I do” on the cliffs of Bohemia. As they left, everyone shared their excitement for them!
So then there’s more details. I didn’t even mention the cigar bar lounge, a beautiful oyster shell escort wall, and a beer cart, which was really neat. The whole rest of the night after ceremony was so much fun. From an incredible choreographed first dance, to wonderful speeches, a memorable cake cutting and then dancing out by the pond in the light of the moon and starts (and our lights!). Oh and we can’t forget our champagne spray!
