Oh man… this wedding was off the hook. And it was also special for us because Malorie and Neils wedding was our 300th wedding. Is that incredible or what!? This couple was next level, fun, amazing, hilarious, and wonderful. There wasn’t a moment of this day that we didn’t love. Their guests were pretty wild too which we are always fans of!
I don’t normally pray for rain on wedding days unless it’s at the end of the night… and for this wedding, my pray was answered! But let’s start back at the beginning on the day. It didn’t look too good weather wise but minute by minute the forecast shifted. Thankfully it did not impact our ability to photograph portraits and family photos which we feel are some of the most important photos of the day!
As one of our more traditional weddings of the year, everything about this day was strategic. Her mom helped Stephanie get dressed, put her veil in and kissed her cheek. Karl’s dad dressed him and helped him with his tuxedo. They got married in a beautiful church on Kent Island right around the corner from their gorgeous venue, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. If you’ve never been, we hope you get invited there soon to a wedding, it’s just wonderful and has beautiful Bay Bridge views!
What a stunning but hot day! Haylie and Chris, Congrats! We are so excited you are married!
We have love being alongside of you guys since day one and are honored that you had us document your wedding day. For those reading this blog post I am so excited to share some of the moments that you will find in the photos below. The morning started at two different Airbnb’s where Chris and his groomsmen and Haylie and her bridesmaids got ready. We worked alongside a really great vendor team including a wonderful planning team with Lauren and Sharon from Celebrations Events. Every detail was strategic and beautiful.
For us this was a special wedding because we had already experienced a wedding in which Haylie and Chris got to see us in our element at their friends wedding. When their day finally came it was nothing short but trust fun and creativity. Haylie and Chris said their I Do’s on the water at Chris’ mom’s house. That will forever be sentimental and special to them and a place they can return to for family gatherings and memories. Just a few yards away, a beautiful clear tent, all the beautiful things, and a mix of circle and rectangle tables where guests would watch beautiful speeches and dances happen, and experience some surprises too.
Alysia and Brooks had the best day. When I think of their day the moments that stand out the most. Brooks seeing her for the first time is how we all want to be looked at as a bride (or at least I did!). She surprised him with a beautiful blush colored gown. Alysia’s dad responded so sweet alongside his wife and her sister during her father reveal. Probably today they have one of the coolest incorporation of honoring generations at a wedding. Alysia worked really hard with her both her moms to gather wedding items from wedding gowns, shoes, veils, purses, from the living grandparents who would be attending the wedding. Alysia surprised the three beautiful grandmothers on her wedding day with their wedding dresses on display doe all to see. It was beyond beautiful and so honoring of her grandmothers.
Oh my gosh… I don’t even know where to begin! Jake and Bridget was a wedding in the books for us for so many reasons. This day started off soooo crazy with our inability to even get to our couple thanks to a barricade on the bay bridge. It was a saga to say the least. Out of all my couple, Bridget and Jake had the hands down best attitude about there day. They had already been through rescheduling their 2020 wedding so why not have one more thing to test patience!? Right!?
