Mel isn’t just a bride-to-be—she’s our Mel. The one who has loved on our babies and been part of our everyday life, which made this proposal at Patapsco State Park’s Cascade Falls feel incredibly personal. Jake planned a moment that was meant to be quiet and intimate, tucked along the trails… and for a second, it was. He got down on one knee, and her reaction was pure joy—the kind you can’t stage.
And then—out of nowhere—about 80 hikers came through and witnessed the entire thing 😂 What could have been a distraction turned into something unforgettable, with cheers, smiles, and strangers celebrating right alongside them as Jake slipped the ring on her finger.
Mel and Jake, we couldn’t love this more—or you two more. Watching someone so special to our family be chosen and celebrated like this was everything. What a beginning 💛
