Our first wedding of the year is up on the blog! Angie and Steve were hoping for snow but as we all know, we haven’t gotten any this whole winter! That didn’t keep these two from having an incredible day alongside family and friends.
The morning was wonderful as Angie and Steve got ready and dressed alongside their closest friends. I love details! Steve had really neat R2-D2 cufflinks, and Angie had a beautiful custom ring box made. Angie shared some sweet moments with her mom as they spent time together getting ready. Three really great reveals happened soon after everyone was ready. Angie got to see her dad, her mom, and her brothers reactions to her fully ready to get married!
We met Sarah and Mike at a Bridal show 1 month before Covid hit. It’s crazy typing that out because I actually remember life before COVID. We could hug, stand 6 inches from someone in line for coffee. When Sarah and Mike emailed us that they would have to reschedule, we were so happy to know we were available for their 2021 date. As with all our couples who had to reschedule, we couldn’t even fathom the stress, heartache and disappointment that would come with postponement. Sarah was one of my brides that seemed even keel throughout the process. Even on her wedding day, she was relaxed, excited, and just looking forward to being with Mike, her family, and share the day with the guests who attended. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Marks church in Catonsville followed by a lovely reception at Overhills Mansion.
Sarah’s bouquets and florals may have been some of my favorites I’ve seen this year. I LOVED the variety of flowers, the colors and they paired so well with the dresses, and the feel and theme of the day.
This December wedding was so fun and so memorable. To start, we had never met the couple in person prior to the wedding, which we thought was so crazy. I think because I had talked to Rachel so many times over the phone and via email, when we met in person that morning, it just felt so normal and so right and so fun. The whole day was a day full of surprises and anticipation. There were details woven in that were subtle but intentional. A rosary around Rachel’s bouquet that her mom identified as her grandfathers the morning of. Plaid pashminas that made this day feel wintery and like Christmas was upon us. Their reception venue was their families home and a backyard of memories turned to wedding ones.
Sierra and Dan came to us because of a string of other past couples that hired us for their wedding. Sierra and Dan are great friends with the Risers and Strotts, two of our past couples and sisters too! When Sierra and Dan reached out, we were like “ANOTHER COUPLE that is friends with Amanda and Melissa!?” We honestly are so thankful that they keep sending friends our way and they hire us haha. We love what we do and being able to capture amazing moments and people is the best. If there was ever a session to showcase some cute dogs, it would be Sierra and Dan’s session. Their pups did awesome even though Sierra wasn’t sure if they would cooperate… well, they did and did awesome! Sierra and Dan, great job! We are so excited for whats to come and can’t wait for your wedding!
Aww, Lisa and Kevin! Congrats you both. We met Lisa and Kevin the day of a wedding we had at Gramercy Mansion actually. They were scoping venues and we encouraged them to check out a few that we loved. They ended up going with BMI and then asked us to be their wedding photographers for their October 4th wedding. Then Covid hit MD and these two decided to postpone their big BMI wedding but still get married at BMI on their original wedding date. Patrick and I were so pumped to be there with them.
To date we’ve rescheduled 27 weddings in our company between all our teams which I just find insane. So much has been robbed from our couples from Covid and government restrictions. But I have to say, in the midst of the uncertainty and chaos, we seriously have the most incredible stories and couples. Here’s one of them.
We met Maria at the Four Seasons bridal show last year and knew that her and Shantanu would be one of our favorite weddings of 2020. They would have a beautiful 3 day Indian wedding on our calendar and we were pumped to shoot it. I told them at our engagement session that I may have been a little more excited about Indian food and culture because I spent a month in India in college and loved it. Over the last few months we’ve gotten closer to these guys.
This wedding day was such a fun one to photograph. First off, Susan and Jim were a super trusting client. We had only met them a couple times before their wedding and for not doing an engagement session with them, they rocked their newlywed pictures and their bridal party photos amazingly!
We spent the majority of the day at the Maryland Club. This venue is beautiful and this was our first wedding with them… it was a great experience. The historic and richness of the rooms made for beautiful photographs AND the guests had plenty to look at.
Olivia and Tim were seriously such a sweet couple for us. The morning with them all was a whirlwind. Olivia was so cute when she said all she wanted was to marry Tim and dance so much. Though the morning was a super tight timeline due to the time we were all allowed on site, the girls rocked it. Olivia never showed any signs of stressed. I think she just decided she was going to have the most amazing day along side her fiance Tim who would become her husband that day.
It’s Friday and we are about to be sharing a handful of weddings from the past month. We have officially entered fall and winter wedding season. We have 17 weddings left between now and Christmas, which is only 14 weeks away!
Today on the blog we are sharing Tracy and Patricks August wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony at Loyola Chapel and a packed dance floor reception at Preston Hall. Tracy and Patrick just came to our home last Saturday night for their gallery reveal so we are pretty excited to share this just a couple days after they received their images!
Sara and Greg had a beautiful wedding at Valley Country Club in Towson on what was a gorgeous January day. Man did they luck out with the weather. It was an evening wedding with a gold and navy color palette. With their kids alongside them they said I Do under the canopy in the ballroom, where they all lit candles and brought their blended family together as one. Wait until you see their boys… what cuties and man can these little guys dance.
