Gah!! Another incredible wedding is up on the blog today. I can’t even begin to share how I feel about this couple and this day. I first met Maria when she was a bridesmaid in Krissy and DJs wedding in Baltimore City. She was vivacious, so full of love, energy and basically the perfect bride for my personality. I don’t remember meeting Amol at their wedding but my first interaction with him I knew he was brilliant, sweet, genuine and he loved Maria.
As one of our out of state couples, we worked hard to be available to these lovebirds when it came to anything wedding. They trusted us so much in planning out photo timeline and shot list and we knew we would be gallivanting all over Philly to get amazing locations they wanted!
We did their engagement session in Philly which was so special and they shared one of their favorite local places with us… Maria was actually one of the first to know that I was expecting Belle last summer!
The wedding day came, and OMG I can’t even begin to share how awesome it was. From beautiful getting ready locations, to an incredible dress, amazing details at ceremony and reception, this day was so classy. The huge wedding party was so flexible and entrusting as we literally trolleyed and walked all around Philly. From a first look on the balcony patio at the hotel, to a quick stop at the Rodin Museum, to hiking the entire party up the famous Rocky stairs at the Art Museum and other sites in Philly, the day was full and packed.
Ceremony was special as Amol’s sister officiated and family came alongside. The cocktail hour was full of incredible food and people and stories being shared. Reception was amazing… the band played a dance set before the night even started, the dance floor packed. Their choreographed first dance with beautiful, and the Speeches and Dances were so honoring of all involved. Laughter resonated throughout the ballroom and tears were shed as friends and parents spoke so highly of our couple.
Maria and Amol, what an incredible day. I could relive it over and over. We loved being alongside you, watching you laugh. Thank you for trusting us, seriously though. And for being friends to us. You treated us so well, we felt like family. We may have slept great, but your photos were so worth it and we hope you LOVE them for years and years and decades to come. That when you look back at that day, that it’s one of the best of your life. Love you guys! Xo
