Thursday’s are #tbt where you post cool pictures from your past. Well, this past weekend was my 10th year high school reunion and my 5th year college reunion so I thought it fitting to post pictures from both graduations and times of life! Dang.
I graduated from the Bryn Mawr School for girls in 2004, on a beautiful sunny day. It didn’t hit me until this past Saturday night when I was taking pictures at a pre prom party that 10 years ago I was heading off to Prom.
I am so thankful for Bryn Mawr. I loved the 7 years that I spent there, I loved what it imparted to me as a woman, and I’m thankful for friendships that have come as a result of Bryn Mawr, even friendships now with women that I didn’t know during my time there.
This is my first year at Bryn Mawr, as a 6th grader. Can you guess which girl I am? Third from the left.
I started at Bryn Mawr as a shy little sixth grader. Hello!
10 years ago, I graduated from Bryn Mawr. All the girls wore white dresses and walked with a basket of daisies.
This is me the night of my senior prom. Oh boy… I think I need a prom redo. I do remembering feeling really pretty… good thing I’ve come to know that beauty isn’t found in the external and in the flesh but in the heart and personality.
Here’s a handful of pictures from my highschool days. Hopefully my girlfriends in these pictures don’t mind that these are 10 year old #tbt pictures. Fun memories.
Moving forward 5 years from this graduation is my college graduation. I went to Oral Roberts University and 5 years ago last weekend, I walked across the stage with my double major business degree in hand (well, my diploma).
My whole family came out to cheer me on… I loved my time at Oral Roberts… 5 years of goodness. That place changed me and made me a whole and better person. I learned more about myself, my faith, my relationships, and my dreams during my time there. One of the best things I left there with was my relationships. I have some of the best friends on the planet from that place, including roommates, great examples of godly men and women, and some of the best professors I have every had. Here’s a fun collage of a few pictures from my college graduation day that I dug up.
Well… that’s my #tbt (Throw Back Thursday) to take you back in time. I’m forever thankful for my highschool and university.
