We’ve never had a bride love her rainy-day wedding as much as Tiffany did. And when we say rain, we mean like down pour. At our final meeting with Tiffany, like most of our brides, she said “I totally want rain pictures.” Some don’t know what that entails until it actually happens. Rain in unavoidable, but beautiful rain pictures are for the brave and free.
Let’s just say, Tiffany and William dominated their rain pictures. Like we mean danced in the rain at the end of the night, rung out her dress mid photos, and loved that her bouquet had rain drops all over it. This wedding was so sweet and unique. Tiffany is Chinese, and William is Jewish. Together they created a beautiful wedding woven with Chinese culture including a tea ceremony with their elders and gold flaked red gift envelopes, to a Chuppah topped with a handmade quilt by William’s mother as well as a Ketubah signing honoring Jewish law. These guys even had an outfit change to honor both cultures.
It down poured on top of the tent during the ceremony while parents and friends read readings and broke the challah. It continued to monsoon while folks danced under the giant rain covered white tent. Sweet toasts were shared by the parents and wedding party, and as a result, wedding guests shared happy tears, memories, and admiration with the bride and groom.
Tiffany and William, your wedding is one of our favorites because your zest, your joy, your sweetness, and even your patience was beyond any we’ve seen at a wedding delayed by weather. When we think about our job in 2018 and how fun and rewarding it is, we think of yours. We can’t wait to see you guys again! Keep loving each other the way you do, it’s contagious!
