Capturing Life in All its Radiant Moments

When we meet with couples for the first time, we share a little about us and how we got to where we are. We are story-tellers, both in our personal lives, and with our camera. It’s just how we live life. Over the past year, we’ve had a a lot of couples asking about our style. As a college kid, I used to say “I aim to capture life in all its radiant moments.”

Now in 2015, now that we have a better idea of our client, who we are and who we want to be, we tell people we are photojournalists and storytellers. Here’s the wikipedia version.

The Power in the Trust of a Client

You know the ride you get on at the amusement park that you love, but during the ride your gut hurts from laughing, you’re scared and end up close your eyes during certain moments? Then at the end, you’re ready to do it all over again!? Well, that’s how Patrick and I felt booking our […]

Marybeth & Brad {married} | Pennsylvania Wedding Photographers | Naylors Winery

Marybeth and Brad were married on a beautiful sunny day up in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. The weather could not have been better. The couple got married at a beautiful church up on a hill.

August 15 is the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The couple picked this to be their wedding day. Their wedding mass was mostly in latin and there was an beautiful emphasis on Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

Amber + Chris {Engaged}

Amber and Chris were so much fun to get to know. I met them at one of the expos last fall when their name was drawn as the winner. Amber and her mom, who was with her, were ecstatic. We unfortunately were already booked on their wedding day, but we still got to work with them for their free engagement session.

Victoria Clausen Floral Events – A June Rehearsal Dinner

I started working with Victoria Clausen as her floral event photographer and I have the honor of photographing amazing wedding venues and the wedding decor that she assembles and creates. Patrick and I love to photograph weddings so this is right up our alley.

The Williams {family session} // Downtown Baltimore Fells Point // Maryland Family Photographer

I’ve known Emily Williams back when I was in middle school and I was still a Hoffman, and she was a Meeks. Emily and I both have become wives, business owners, and friends, in that order. 🙂

Emily and her husband, Tom, have a sweet sweet family. Her little girls are precious… I’ve official been invited over by them for hot chocolate, I can’t wait! Naomi and Eliana are my new buds.

On a chilly, windy blustery day, we all ventured to downtown Baltimore for a Fells Point Photoshoot! Family style!! The girls were bundled, blankets and all, and their little guy, Xavier, was an absolute champ!

The Higgins {Family Session} / Maryland Photographer

A few weeks before Christmas, we met up with one of our Radiant families, who wanted to get some pictures for their 2014 Christmas card. Belinda, one of my friends, is also expecting twin girls, and wanted to get a few maternity pics while we were out and about. When these beauties come out, Belinda and Ryan will have FIVE girls! Amazing! We couldn’t be more excited for them.

Christina & Eric {Engaged} | Annapolis Wedding Photographer

Bright lights on stage. The crowd below watching and waiting for the music to start. His band was getting ready. A few casual stares and looks. Christina’s heart fluttered. Eric was totally distracted. But the recording had to go on.

The Fun in Dysfunction

Dispite the sometimes chaos, it was amazing to be with family. We’ve not always seen eye to eye on things, but there’s one thing that has remained. Love. We LOVE family. Love each other. Love each other so much that sometimes we’ve have to be hard on each other. Yes, they’ve been hard on me too. This Thanksgiving, we took time in the midst of “life” – constant movement, constant going, busy busy busy… for family.  I’m thankful for parents that instilled love and relationship in us. We all sat together at the table, and prayed as one… thanking our Lord for where he’s brought us. We try to do this regardless of the holiday.
