Early in August, we had the honor and privilege of photographing Anna and Roman’s Wedding outside at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House with a reception inside their amazing exposed brick reception hall in Mt. Washington, Maryland.
We met up with Anna and Roman at a Double T diner in Ellicott City after the place we were going to meet at had a concert happening we didn’t know about! We were a great fit and super excited to work with these two.
Anna and Roman decided not to have a bridal party and instead have their closest friends with them throughout the duration of the day! Anna had a beautiful pair of Kate Spade Gold Glittered shoes (my favs!) and Roman had a stunning Michael Kors yellow tie.
We love Anna and Roman’s engagement session… they went for a hike on Christmas day and when they got to the top of the mountain to the beautiful view. They sat down and ate some clementines and Roman seemed nervous. Roman proposed at the top of the mountain where Anna said yes! They went home and got Chinese food–a nice new tradition for Christmas day for them.
Congrats Anna and Roman on your wedding day and thank you for inviting us to be such an active part of your life and spend the day photographing your wedding day!
We are fans of the nations. We’ve been all over the world, and we are bilingual. And we couldn’t be more excited to have Kelley and Jose as one of our Radiant couples! Kelley thought Washington DC would be an ideal location for their DC engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial. We were so excited to photograph these two down in DC!
Kelley and Jose met in the Peace Corp when Kelley was in Paraguay. These two are so flippin’ cute and we can’t wait until their January wedding!
So recently Patrick and I have had more work than we can handle. Some days that’s amazing, other days, we want to stay in bed, put my head under the covers, and go back to sleep in hopes we wake up and everything is back to easy! (Where’s the easy button when you really need it!?)
Work is exhausting, but Passion keeps you moving forward. We decided it was time to bring on another assistant because while we love what we do, we need some extra help here and there. Sarah first, now Jess. Thanks to the Stevenson University Job Inquiry Portal, Jess found us, and we are forever grateful and thankful for this woman. She fits our personalities and company so well, and we are better because of her!
Referrals are like ice cream flavors. When you try one out and love it, you tell everyone. This is what happens to us. Last fall I met a maid of honor in a wedding we were photographing. She loved the work we did and told her friend, Nichole. Now, because of a referral we got business… all because of relationships. Thanks Jessica for sending the Davis’ our way!
Nichole and Corey got married on a beautiful day, with the radar calling for lots and lots of rain. The rain held off long enough for us to get pictures outside, of the separate bridal party’s.
On June 20, Nichole and Corey tied the knot at Martin’s Valley Mansion, a wedding venue in Cockeysville MD. The ceremony and the reception were sweet and a ton of fun. Just by looking at their guests during the reception, you can tell that everyone was having a ball!
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Davis… we wish you guys the best to come!
At some point or another the photographer gets tired of lugging all their equipment to every wedding. Light Kit, Flashes, Batteries, Cords, Extension Cords, Camera Bodies, and the good old lenses.
As a lover of Canon, Patrick and I definitely have our pick of must have lenses that every wedding photographer needs. These are our favorite lenses we use for weddings, but they are also totally the must haves if you have any for a wedding.
Sometimes there are couples we meet that just fit us. We call it natural affinity. There’s people that we mesh with, that mesh with us, that we just feel like friends and not just wedding photographers for. Lindsey and Matt are one of those couples. Throughout their wedding day, you never saw anyone just watching… people were laughing, and never once did we see Lindsey and Matt not smiling or laughing. But here’s the thing… this is who they are. It wasn’t just for the day… it’s been throughout all the months leading up to their big day, ever since the day we first met them. As you scroll through their day, you can’t help but just see the joy in these families.
We are so excited to share the wedding of the newly married Travis and Ashley Holmes!
Not only did they get married at one of Maggie’s sentimental locations (The McDonogh School), but they also had a stunning weather day, amazing bridal party, and details galore! The Belevedere Hotel was their reception venue. Wait until you see this amazing venue!
Maggie met Travis when they started teaching at McDonogh almost 5 years ago. They were both first year teachers and they both were single at the time. Almost a year ago, we got an email from an Ashley Miller, and a Travis Holmes. Maggie was ectatic, because she knew that Travis Holmes had to be the same guy she taught with right out of college. Ashley and Travis have become dear friends of ours and we loved celebrating the day with them!
Rain can’t keep us for doing an engagement shoot… and you would never believe this was 5 minutes after torrential downpours!
Heather and Tyler were determined to have this day be their e-session, we were brought umbrellas and flipflops, and said “let’s do this!” We originally wanted to photography downtown at the Inner Harbor, but then opted for a location with beautiful overhangings and porticos. So, I knew I could count on my Alma Mater, Bryn Mawr… a beautiful private girls school in Roland Park (well I did get in trouble by security because I didn’t call ahead… opps… but they were gracious as I was an alum). But anyway… you will love this session… with a little rain, some water, and a beautiful couple!
One of our favorite moments of our time with them was when Tyler grabbed Heather and started dancing with her barefoot! We just loved how cute the two of them were together. Oh and the swings… that was so cute too! Take a scroll and enjoy!
When we met Katelynn at a bridal show, she had an entourage of amazing people rallying her and supporting her engagement to Chris. We hadn’t met Chris. But when we met Chris, everything clicked. These two lovebirds aren’t just cute, they are funny, have a great sense of humor, and we feel like we’ve known them for years! We decided with them that it would be best to do their e-session where they felt like them. So we opted for their apartment complex in Canton, which is OH so beautiful! Here’s some of our favorites from the day! We can’t wait to photograph their wedding day!
