When we went full time just a little over a year ago, I didn’t think we would be flying across the nation to photograph our first California destination wedding! We were ecstatic!
Sarah and Bruce are a fabulous couple that we not only got to know because of being a client, but we actually got to know them as people. Sarah is sweet and kind, yet raw and funny. Bruce comes off serious, but is focused and generous, and he sure loves Sarah. Being a part of their love journey during their engagement was so special. When they first hired us, we thought we’d be photographing their wedding in Philly. I’ll never forget the phone call I got when Sarah called and said “well Maggie. We are moving our wedding to California. Do you guys travel?” We had only done a couple out of state weddings, but never did we think we’d photograph a wedding in California. Now I can’t wait to go back for the next one!
Sarah and Bruce’s stunning Sacramento California wedding was just beautiful. The color palette Sarah chose was perfect for the hues that flowed throughout the landscape of the country and the linens and florals on the table. The perfect colors for a western fall-inspired wedding.
When we met Amanda and Bobby, we just fell in love with them. These two are real life heros. Amanda is an ER Nurse in Annapolis, and Bobby a Paramedic in Anne Arundel county. These two met at one of Amanda’s co-workers weddings where Bobby was helping a friend DJ the wedding. Bobby proposed in their shared living room where Amanda said “YES!” and now they are in the midst of planning for their 2016 wedding!!!
I was thrilled to meet these two down in Annapolis for their winter engagement session. This time of year the piers are quiet and there’s no sharing space with cute families and their kids taking selfies. We ventured through the piers, streets, and grounds of downtown Annapolis for the engagement session and these two rocked it! My favorite prop this fall is probably Amanda’s cup that you’ll see very soon!
There’s really something amazing about a friend who hires you for every photo thing under the sun because she loves us, believes in us, and thinks the world of us!
Cydney and John have hired us and brought us in to be their retainer photographer for their business, for their family pictures, and Cydney hired me for a boudoir shoot to surprise her hubby!
So I get really excited to share posts and pictures that are outside the norm of our lives and clients. Most know us as wedding photographers and today we are sharing aproduct shoot we did for one of our dear friends at Truly Scrumptious. Allison is such a babe. I met her at a bridal show in Towson and ever since then, we’ve just been friends.
Truly Scrumptious is a new company in the wedding industry. Allison crafts beautiful candy bar displays for events and weddings. She is so great at merging color and sweets, and throwing personality into it.
We decided to get together and hang out and literally play with candy and things. We found ourselves eating more of it than we thought, and laughing, and all the while making sure the wind didn’t mess up our creations!
So it’s Holiday time and if you need a cute place to get gifts from… Punch is your place to go. We just wrapped up our holiday shoot and I pretty much had my jaw dropped the whole time. I mean like the cutest stuff is in stock!
So what is Punch? Punch is an awesome boutique in Federal Hill in Baltimore City. Cydney is an amazing women, friend, and business owner (we vent life to each other and eat chips and queso while working!)
Each of our Radiant Couples have amazing stories; Denise and Rob are included! On their special day they were surrounded by all of their friends and family: from college buddies to grandchildren. What an amazing journey.
Denise wore a beautiful champagne dress for the ceremony, held at a friend’s private waterfront residence, and the event was wonderful. Surrounded by generations of love, the two shared their vows. Then, everyone enjoyed some tunes, food, and even an oyster bar at the reception!
It was wonderful to witness your commitment and be there to document it! We had so much fun and you are both so sweet! Thank you for choosing us. And congratulations!
Allison and Mario got married mid-September and had a beautiful ceremony! They found us through Wedding Wire, and we had an amazing time shooting their engagement session in Alexandria. After Patrick did some scavenging, he found a great spot for sunset shots on the water! We totally love how the evening light made this beautiful couple look even more beautiful!
Mario and Allison had a super sweet ceremony at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club right on the water! It was great to watch them join together as one, surrounded by friends and so much family! Maggie was even able to brush up on her Spanish as she got to know Mario’s parents.
It was so great to spend the day with you both. You are both so fun and easy to get along with and we just love to get to know you! Thank you for hiring us, letting us love on you, and for staying in our lives as friends even after your big day!
Prom. It’s all because my brother Sam went to prom with a girl named Shannon.
Shannon is one of 4 sisters. Kaitlin, Megan, Shannon, and Erin. Megan got engaged and we have the honor of being her wedding photographer in 2016. You can see their engagement pics here! She is one of our brides and gets married next year. Megan met us because of Shannon. Their oldest sister is Kaitlin, who reached out to us to get new pics done for the holidays. Her boyfriend Scott, and their sweet pup Bailey met up with me over the weekend and we had a fabulous sunset shoot with ugly sweaters included! These guys are too flippin’ cute, and they rocked their outdoor ugly sweater shoot at Patapsco State Park off Route 40 in Ellicott City!
Chrissy and Daniel had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Gramercy Mansion in Stevenson, Maryland. I love this venue because I don’t feel like I’m in Baltimore but rather some beautiful venue in the middle of no where. It’s whimsical, beautiful, and historic.
These two lovebirds are one of those couples that when we met them, we just knew. The first time we meet up as a double date, we talked life and packages, and then as soon as we were finished, Patrick and Daniel went and worked on a car. Seriously!? How does that even happen. Chrissy and I (me Maggie!) just clicked. Watching these two get married was so special for us as we felt like friends of ours were getting married, not just a regular client funding our livelihood. We are so thankful for our friendship with these two!
Laurie and Kevin joined us in our lovely city during their engagement session, and it was great to show them the sights! It was great to spend that day with you and we were so excited to spend your wedding day with you.
Laurie and Kevin had an adorable waterfront ceremony at Waters Edge in mid-September. They were super sweet during their first look on a pier; and shared a great couples dance for all attendees.
It was so great to spend the day with you both. Thank you for so much for hiring us! You two are great! Congratulations!
