I’ve known her pretty much my entire life. When my awesome Great Aunt Judy got remarried to an amazing man, Uncle Russ, we were given another family. Bridget is like my cousin, even though she’s great Uncle Russ’ granddaughter and not blood related. We still haven’t figured out what that makes us haha. Third cousins by marriage once removed, or something like that. After high school we parted ways. Not because of anything bad or negative, we just grew apart. I moved to the mid-west and she stayed in Baltimore and pursued her endeavours. That was almost 10 years ago!! WHAT!!
Photographing Steph and Tim’s wedding was an absolute blast. When Patrick and I first met Steph and Tim, we just became friends instantly. Steph is one of our Radiant brides who not only trusts us, but totally befriended us, invited us over to their new house, and treated us like family. We were even invited to their house warming party where we met their parents, families, and some bridal party. We loved it.
The day their wedding came to fruition it was as if I was photographing my friends wedding. Not a client, not someone who found us on weddingwire and strictly wanted business. No, Steph and Tim somehow stumbled upon us, they still don’t really know how. We assume instagram or pinterest or even possibly even some wedding blogs. Regardless, we were so blessed to have these guys as clients. Steph looked stunning upon arriving to the house from the salon. Her mom and dad were all smiles. The first look that Steph and Tim shared was just so sweet. It was me, Patrick, Steph, and Tim. Documenting their first few moments was so sweet, and theses two make it super easy to photograph.
This wedding resonates with my Spanish heritage… Well actually, i don’t really have any Spanish heritage but I am bilingual and rusty. Haha!! Kelley and Jose met overseas while Kelley was pursuing the Peace Corp in Paraguay! they enjoyed each other so much that a long distance relationship didn’t cut it. Jose applied for his […]
We have the best dentist in Maryland. Dr. Padousis (Sr.) was my dentist growing up and when he retired, his son Dr. Evan Padousis become my dentist. These two men have been my dentists my whole life. I absolutely love my teeth and going to the dentist is something I’ve always looked forward to going to.
This past November Dr. P’s sister, Stephanie, who works at the office reached out to us to do a reunion shoot since all the siblings and nieces and nephews were going to be in town for Thanksgiving. I was beyond thrilled. I knew I would be seeing Dr. Padousis (Sr.) who I haven’t seen in probably 10+ years. It was so special.
I’m not really sure how many years it’s been since I’ve known this sweet family, but it’s been a long time. I remember moving home after college in 2009 and I had just been hired to work full-time at my first “big girl” job as an Assistant in the Kindergarten program at the McDonogh School. I was living at home with my parents on the Gilman School property and I nannied time to time for a few different families. The Headmaster at Gilman at that time was John Schmick. His son John and daughter-in-law Kate had this little boy named Johnny. If I remember right, Johnny was about 2 years old, maybe younger. Now before I write anymore, Johnny is probably one of the best kids I’ve ever babysat for or nannied. He is so well behaved and just down sweet. This kid is amazing and you know if he likes you within the first couple minutes of being with him. Every time I’ve seen Johnny since I stopped babysitting for them, he remembers who I am and I get big leg hugs (you know the ones when their height allows them to only hug your knee or thigh)…
My brother Josh graduated from Messiah college years ago, and as a result we have all these fabulous people we know. While Josh was there, we met this amazing girl name Marta and we’ve known her for many years! It’s crazy how life works because Marta’s husband Adam has a brother named Sean, and he’s engaged to Tina. Tina and Sean are one of our 2016 couples are we couldn’t be more excited! You can see their engagement session here!
Marta & Adam are expecting and their little guy August is gonna be a big brother! So we ventured around Roland Park and took a mix of family photos and maternity pics too!
When we booked Melissa and Chris as wedding clients for 2016, we didn’t realize we’d fall in love with their whole family. The Augustinos are a fabulous family and we are so happy to know them and have befriended them in 2015. I am so excited to share this post mainly because 1) This family is dear to our heart, and 2) the colors in these photos are amazing! Steve and Laurie, you guys did awesome and Melissa and Chris, you pretty much got more engagement photos haha.
About a month ago I was down doing some work at Punch, one of the boutiques we contract with throughout the year and this sweet woman came in. She mentioned that her husband’s organization Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake were looking for local business to partner with them by contributing a silent auction item for their big fundraiser. I spoke up, introduced myself and before I knew it, I committed to gifting a family session to the organization. A couple weeks later another super sweet woman emailed me as she was the winner of the family session!
I met Jordan and Casey Tyler in HIstoric Ellicott City with their beautiful babies! We figured since it was around the holidays we would do a holiday shoot and incorporate the festive decor in Ellicott City!
I met Jennene around last Christmas at a Christmas Party for friends of ours, the Daileys!! It’s so funny how life just happens, because when Jennene asked me about anniversary pictures, I said, “We LOVE anniversary sessions!” They are basically engagement session with a whole lot more love and history! Jennene and Kyle wanted to do their session at their home, which I loved. They did awesome and so did their dogs! Enjoy!
I’m so excited that I finally get to post this blog post! So my friends John and Deanna are expecting in January and I am so so thrilled for them. While John was away for work in Germany, Deanna and I snuck a maternity session at Jerusalem Mills in as a surprise to give to John over the holidays. My most favorite part of my time with Deanna was catching up on life (we’ve been friends since we were in high school attending the same youth group) and spending time with her little one, Perry. Oh my goodness is this little guy so sweet and yummy. Probably one of the most well behaved kids I’ve ever photographed!! He is genuinely sweet and boy does he love his mommy.
