Justin and Alyssa seriously have the best luck with rain. Let me explain.
Justin had this amazing proposal planned downtown at the 4 Seasons. As he was getting ready to propose… a huge storm with torrential rain blew in, and Justin was freaking out about where on earth he would propose that night that was the least bit dry. So… he proposed on the steps of the Four Seasons hotel. A stunning backdrop to a proposal I must say.
It was only fitting that their engagement session had to include rain. We were going to postpone the shoot but Alyssa and Justin said “let’s go for it.” The first two hours of their 3 hour, 2 location shoot was perfect. Overcast skies at Cylburn was just what we wanted and these guys ROCKED their session. Gorgeous lighting. A natural filter in the sky. Then we headed downtown to the Four Seasons and the storm started to blow in.
Literally we took not even 2 minutes of photos before torrential rain poured!!! The four of us ran into Wit & Wisdom. Patrick and I looked at each other and we knew exactly what we were going to propose. “Hey guys… you want some cool rain pics”
Justina and Alyssa were so amazing! The fact that they trust us in literal MONSOON weather made this session fun, memorable, and hilarious. We even had a audience. Be sure to scroll to the end of the post to see the rain shots. We’re pretty proud of what we got with the wind and rain!
