Yah! A turf valley wedding! I remember in our first couple years of business, Turf Valley was bucket list for us. I wanted to be their friend, wanted to shoot weddings there. Well, let’s just say… they’ve become one of our favorite venues. Not only do they refer weddings to us, but we have the honor of photographing events there, even their spa and pool. Patrick got to be a model once too lol. Anyway, we love Turf Valley and this wedding was our first there this year!
Stacy and Ryan are such a bomb couple. They truly are some of the most genuine people we’ve had the honor of photographing. They are sweet, kind, down to earth, and were just a joy to be around their whole wedding day. They even let us steal them at sunset and walk literally like 100 yards to chase the sun!
The day was beautiful. Overcast skies, stunning bridesmaid dresses, handsome dudes. They wrote sweet love letters to each other. They had a pretty big wedding party, maybe our biggest yet at Turf Valley. They were so attentive and needed to be considering we weren’t sure if the sprinklers were going to come on our not while we were out on the course!
Really cool detail, all the bouquets were made of wood. The ceremony was outside in the gardens. The weeping willow trees are a stunning sight during a wedding… love the texture of them!
Stacy and Ryan shared a really fun first look with each other which allowed us to get the majority of their shot list done on the front side of the day. They hired us to also do a Zoom video and as such, we were able to share their ceremony with family and friends that weren’t able to attend.
Reception was super fun! Stacy’s dad gave a very honoring speech, and watching Stacy’s mom dance to “Stacy’s Mom” song was fun for all. Most of their families were out of state, so it was a neat experience for all! Late night snacks were a hit… I mean come on, chicken tender and mashed potato bar… sign me up every time! The DJ was off the hook, party rocking and crankin’, we didn’t want to leave and at one point just wanted to dance (but we didn’t). We left with sore feet (cause we walked so much) but our hearts were so full for Stacy and Ryan. Lovebirds, thank you. Thanks for trusting us with your day and your families and your friends. We don’t take it for granted! We wish you guys all the best in your marriage and can’t wait to see you again!
