Everyone is tired of the snow.
I had this thought the other day. It’s not snow that people are fed up with. I think everyone is tired of wearing the same winter clothing, mopping their wet floors, de-icing their cars, and shovelling their driveway. It’s the inconvenience of having to cancel and reschedule plans and meetings, finding activities to do with the kids inside the house, or having to go to work when all you really want to do is lounge by a fire, or catch up on the project you’ve been meaning to get to. It’s not really “snow” that people are fed up with. It’s the season.
Yes. This little guy is a home run. No pun intended. 🙂 Meet Wayne Patrick Wanless. Born January 14, 2014 at 6pm. We love his middle name.
Wayne belongs to Morgan and Wayne. They are champions. They are young (younger than us I mean), they are newly weds, and they are new parents! We have loved spending time with these guys and their little man.
Last weekend as a 2nd honeymoon, Patrick and I found ourselves in a winter wonderland called Narnia. I mean, Deep Creek.
We drove out to Western Maryland. Our destination… a 2 person cabin. On our wedding day, I gave Patrick a weekend getaway as a wedding present. The cabin is 30 minutes from town, Walmart, and most stores. It was fantastic. Here’s a wonderful overview of our time away.
This past Saturday, I was hired to photograph “the details” of work done by Victoria Clausen.
Victoria is an amazing woman, great personality with beautiful style. I met her through a mutual friend, Elle Thompson, a fellow teacher at McDonogh when I taught there right out of college.
Victoria is a floral event designer and creates extravagant pieces for weddings and events. From centerpieces, to atmosphere and hanging draperies to escort tables and cocktail parties, Victoria covers it all. The job I was hired for was for a wedding, and my job… to capture the detail work of this designer for the bride and groom. The photos take at this shoot will go into a book created by Victoria as a gift to the bride and groom.
Patrick and I had the honor of spending a sweet evening with Jim and Joan McDade. They are Patrick’s Aunt and Uncle (and mine now too). They invited us to come capture a few generations of family and grandkids and cousins for their annual Christmas dinner.
Patrick and I love family and so spending this evening with them was delightful!
