I’m like a giddy little girl posting this wedding today. Our dear friends James and Lauren tied the knot and have a gorgeous Springfield Manor & Distillery Wedding in late May.
We were anticipating this wedding for months, mainly because these two are close friends of ours… in fact Patrick has know James since they were 5 and 6 years old. Watching these two get married was so so special and we were elated to be such a huge part of their big day.
There’s not one thing about this wedding that we didn’t like. The weather was the perfect mix of sunshine, overcast skies, and even some rain to end the night with an incredible night shot in the rain with umbrellas. The florals, the details, the escort cards, and not to mention…. Lauren’s dress!!!! It’s just incredible!
When we reminisce this wedding, there’s a few things that stand out to us! We love that Bobby’s best man was their DJ (he was great!), and the dessert bar were all these amazing treats and a beautiful cake. The other things I loved about this wedding was the toast the dad gave. “He is your Lighthouse, and She is yours. And the guests in this room at the rocks that are the stability and strength to fortify the lighthouse.” UGH… I almost started crying as I looked over at Patrick thinking… he’s my lighthouse, and then I looked at our bride and groom and they were emotional. I just love that. SO sweet and amazing.
We hit it off right away with Mandy and Justin! These two are a perfect pair and we are so excited for their nautical wedding this October at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club!
These cuties got engaged in Punta Cana on their fourth anniversary of dating! After spilling some coffee, Justin spilled his guts and told Mandy he wanted to marry her with a memory book of their relationship!
It rained all day… literally. But then somehow, the skies opened and all four of us decided, LETS DO IT!
Fadi and Stephanie were so excited for their engagement shoot. Our couples love to laugh, love being together, and we love being with them. It’s like double dating your friends and taking pictures while hanging out.
These two kids met in High School, which I totally love because I’m a romantic (I secretly wish Patrick was my high school sweetheart). A mutual friend egged Fadi on to take Stephanie to his senior prom, so they went on a blind date and went bowling. To their liking, they started dating and took each other to senior prom in 2010! AHH! We love it.
There’s a handful of weddings that I just love and they seem to carry the same themes throughout.
This was totally the recipe for Sunday’s wedding. Somehow it didn’t rain, with all the rain we’ve been getting but it sure was windy.
Heather and Carlos shared a beautiful first look at heathers parents house where she got ready. Carlos cried (YES!) and Heather just glowed the entire time.
This is probably the first time in a long time that we’ve had days and day and day of rain. What’s crazy is that somehow the clouds didn’t open up until minutes after finishing all portraits for this amazing couple.
The week leading up to Stephanie and Brad Turf Valley wedding was one of suspense. Thinking through Game Plan A and B (and C too) and reworking timelines to make the most out of photo time on their wedding day.
The morning of the wedding the sun was out and smiles were on all our faces. We knew we had a window of daylight and sunshine before the clouds would roll in. We still can’t believe it. We even were ready with rain boots and umbrellas.
This May may be one of the rainiest months we’ve had in a long time, however it sure does make for AMAZING wedding photos.
You wouldn’t know it by looking at their pictures, but Olivia and Alex had a VERY rainy wedding day. It poured most of the day but that didn’t make anyone upset and if anything, we had to get creative.
Between the super fun bridal party, the beautiful church, and rainy umbrella pictures, Patrick and I had such a ball shooting this wedding.
Olivia and Alex said I Do at a beautiful church up in Hunt Valley, and danced the night away at their Hunt Valley Golf Club reception.
