Ekkk! This wedding is so fun for us to share. I have to first off say that some years we shoot venues more than we have any other year, and here’s a great example. It’s been YEARS since we’ve shot at the Mt Washington Dye House, and as I’m writing this post, I know we’ve already shot 3 weddings here this year in 2 months!
It’s such an awesome and cool industrial exposed brick wedding venue in the heart of Mt Washington near Roland Park… literally where I grew up.
Oh gosh, this wedding I’m so excited to share, and I think it’s because I got to check off a bucket list wedding item: Photograph a Rainy Ceremony OUTDOOR, and our couple was the dream couple to do this with!
Sara and Joey had an incredible wedding day, wet, yes, but honestly, it was some of the prettiest lighting we’ve had all year with overcast skies but then moments of soft light. They get an award for trusting us with difficult weather and allowing us to call needed audibles day of!
There were so many cool details of this wedding that I have to mention. From an intimate first look, to a really special gift from Sara to Joey. He has a favorite actor and Sara got a recording from the actor to Joey on his wedding day. It was so cool, so special and Joey was definitely moved by it. I’ll never forget that Sara said that she wanted to get married outside. There was a 50% chance of rain, so we took all 30 of our umbrellas out to ceremony, set a bunch, gave some to family, and went full mode into what we were pretty sure would become a rainy ceremony. Sure enough, as soon as Sara walked down the aisle, the skies clouded over and the rain started to come. I’ve never interrupted a ceremony before but I was not about to allow my bride to be drenched, covered, soaked. The ceremony continued with umbrellas in hand by all and smiles too. I do’s were said and all cheered as our couple recessed out as husband and wife!
Yah! This post is long over due thanks to an insanely busy wedding season, but we are pumped to share it because it’s honestly so beautiful!
When we met Angela and Chris, we were so hopeful they would hire us. Angela and Chris, like us, are private school kids, that could have/should have met way before they did, but fate knew it would come to be. Our time with Angela and Chris was soo much fun. They trusted us as we requested to try a few new things in a location we shoot at a lot. I look at their photos and you wouldn’t even know where they were standing, or who was around, but what you can see are two really incredible people who are excited to get married!
I remember getting a phone call and an email from Wendy. She was sweet and knew she wanted to hire us. I wanted to do a zoom call with her even though we were only going to be photographing a couple of hours, and our conversation was nothing short of fun, laughter, and excitement for what would come.
Wendy and Ken are a super kind couple that we had the honor of spending a wonderful May day with. Their wedding at Grey Rock Mansion in Reisterstown. With a wonderful vendor team, an amazing family unit, and some of the cutest flower children to date, they had a gorgeous day.
We are so excited to share this wedding with you all! Alyssa and Prashant got married at the beautiful Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel! This couple is a power duo, just incredible people. Very kind and their guests were even kinder. They had the best of both worlds with two ceremonies to bind their family traditions together.
Love stories grow with time, and so for these co-workers, love grew at work! Caroline and John were teachers that met at Dundalk high school over 5 years ago. Their love grew as the school had events and they happened to keep signing up for the same ones. It just made sense to start spending life together.
Caroline and John’s wedding was fun, intentional and playful. The day started off with the bridal party getting ready where the girls and guys were laid back drinking champagne and playing cards. Caroline got ready at Eagles Nest alongside her mom and bridesmaids.
This wedding is so fun for us to post. When we met Zach and Melinda, I’ll never forget thinking how amazing these two are together. Zach is by far one of the most gentle yet strong man… like the kind that leads well, that you’d follow because you trust him. And Melinda, what a babe. She even told me once “I’m not really girly” and I told her straight up, you’re a bombshell… she’s just super humble, so sweet, and I can definitely see us being friends for life.
From our time with them eating dinner after their engagement session, to our final meeting, a few texts, we knew their wedding was bound to be full of fun, tears, and sweet moments. I can’t even say what my favorites were because there were so many cool things that these guys did. So I’m gonna start at the beginning and work my way through the end.
Haha! Yah, we are excited about posting this session! We met Steve years ago when he was a groomsmen in Heather + Tylers wedding (btw a couple who we’ve come to love and know as best friends). Fast forward, we’ve run into Steve at other weddings and have come to find out that everyone knows Steve! Double tap if you know what I mean and if you know Steve haha. And Megan, what a babe… she’s sooo good for Steve and the two of them are awesome together. A few months ago, Steve reached out and we got to do their proposal, and it was fitting for us to venture back down to Fells Point and do their session! We can’t wait for our time together with you guys and celebrating your marriage! Woot Woot!
Yah! A turf valley wedding! I remember in our first couple years of business, Turf Valley was bucket list for us. I wanted to be their friend, wanted to shoot weddings there. Well, let’s just say… they’ve become one of our favorite venues. Not only do they refer weddings to us, but we have the honor of photographing events there, even their spa and pool. Patrick got to be a model once to lol. Anyway, we love Turf Valley and this wedding was our first there this year!
Stacy and Ryan are such a bomb couple. They truly are some of the most genuine people we’ve had the honor of photographing. They are sweet, kind, down to earth, and were just a joy to be around their whole wedding day. They even let us steal them at sunset and walk literally like 100 yards to chase the sun!
I’m so excited to share this wedding for so many reasons! I met Paige years ago, in the winter of 2011, maybe it was even 2012. I was working for a brand agency in Towson, and Paige worked for one of our clients. Little did I know that years later, 8 years to exact, that Paige and Matt would reach out and hire us to be their wedding photographers. I honestly was so excited, nervous and honored. I didn’t really get to say goodbye to Paige when I stopped working for that agency, so reconnecting with her was so special. There is sooo much to go on about with this wedding, so I think it’s best if I just go in order!
