What a wedding! Hands down, this was the coldest wedding day we had in 2021. It actually is in our top 5 for coldest wedding in 10 years. But Corrine and Bradley and their families were soooo awesome.
They could have said no way and had indoor photos at Belvedere but Corrine wanted the water and the city feel. They trusted us to get through their shot list. They huddled together behind the scenes. We photoshopped hair flys, the pink/purple in hands, but they kept smiles throughout all the segments. The whole day was lovely. Corrine and her girls got ready at her parents house on the water, while the guys got ready at a hotel in Baltimore. They did a first look on the Baltimore waterfront. They trusted us when we had to switch locations of where to do a first look and where all their portraits would be. The Four Seasons waterfront was a wind tunnel… it would have been a shipwreck of hair and dresses. Everyone including us would have been miserable. But we found a spot that would still capture Baltimore, the Domino Sugar sign, and the feel of a city with a waterfront. We weren’t escaping the high 30 degree temps,, but we did escape the 20+ mph wind that day on the waterfront.
This wedding is sooo special for me to post because it’s my cousin Kellie’s wedding! This wedding was beautiful, fun, and probably the most I’ve ever danced at a wedding. And it was the first wedding I photographed AS A BRIDESMAID! #goals… but this wedding isn’t about me, so I’m gonna just dive right in!
Kellie and Evan had a magical day. It may have been windy and cold but dang these two dominated the day, their wedding party and their families. The morning started out at the resort while the guys and the gals got ready. The guys were at a beach front house and the girls in a suite overlooking the beautiful OBX beach. These two shared a beautiful first look close to where they would be saying I Do and as a result, we got to see the day really come t together. I loved Evans response to seeing my cousin Kellie!
So this session is another one of our beloved Fells Point session and it’s so good! Brittany and Joe, what a duo. When we met these guys in person, we knew it would be a blast to cruise around town and also get dinner afterwards. Brittany is vibrant and full of joy… and Joe is calm, collect and sweet… we’ve always said we have the prettiest people on the planet, and I believe it, don’t you!
Joe happens to be one of our past groom’s (Fadi) best friend, so it was super cool for us to be able to work with him, while he’s seen us do our thing! Brittany and Joe, you guys did sooo good. Thanks for trusting us! Can’t wait for what’s ahead!
Aww ya! Another wedding with babies! In this case, 1 super cute ring bearer named Becket! But I have to back up a little bit before we talk about this wedding day. Patrick and I met Aubrey and Tim back in the summer when we did their engagement session that turned partially into a family session. We told them in our first meeting that we love it when couples include their furbabies and or their babies… they shared with us that they had a little boy and the coolest part… their Beckett and our Levi were born a month apart… so we knew exactly what season they were in and it was something we could relate too. These lovebirds live in California (and hopefully will move back here soon!) so we meet them in person at their session, where we crushed the property to capture their love story and family.
What a fun session this was for us. Black Ankle Vineyards is special to our couple and it was only fitting for us to cruise their property alongside our couple Stephanie and Karl!
These two dominated their session. We wanted to incorporate any details that meant something to them, so we used Stephanie’s beautiful oval ring, some wine, glasses and the beautiful aesthetic of the property.
Stephanie and Karl, we are so pumped to spend more time with you and be alongside you guys. Thanks for sharing food and pizza with us at dinner. We loved getting to know you both!
This was a bucket list wedding for us. We’ve lived in Baltimore our whole lives and as we’ve grown as wedding photographers, there’s a handful of venues that we thought would be iconic venues to shoot as Baltimore kids and photographers. Being able to photograph a wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel was special for us. We have been there for events, we even have been guests there before, but we hadn’t shot a wedding there yet. To be honest I was a little bit intimidated because I knew our caliber had to be on point and our professionalism not lacking at all. Cara and Brad had a beautiful day despite the weather that was handed to us for their day. Although we could not get outside for their bridal party photos or family photos we were able to sneak in a beautiful first look with a short segment of the Baltimore skyline for them.
These guys had a large shotlist for family pictures and wanted to have them all done prior to ceremony. So we definitely planned an incredible shot list and timeline with them alongside the amazing Celebrations Event team Lorin and Sharon.
Straight out of college I move back to Baltimore to start a job as a kindergarten teachers assistant. Many of you don’t know that I taught elementary education at the McDonogh school prior to moving into the marketing world, even before we were wedding photographers. My first year as a teachers assistant was with the beautiful Tammy R. How this ties into this wedding is that Tammy is the mother of my bride MJ.
About six years ago I did a reunion shoot for the race family and got to meet a handful of aunts uncles and cousins. Little did I know that we would be full-time wedding photographer shooting MJ’s wedding in the years to come. When they asked me to shoot their wedding Patrick and I were so honored and excited. Of course we said yes and would be happy to go wherever they wanted to tie the knot.
MJ and Keith decided to have their wedding in Luray Virginia at the beautiful Brenwood Lake venue.
Patrick and I drove down the night before to ensure we were able to see the venue prior to wedding day. We knew we were in for a beautiful ceremony in their outdoor space alongside the venue which felt like a rustic barn but updated for a great party.
Yah! We love a good engagement session adventure! Hannah and Chris’ session was everything spontaneous that a session could have. We met these lovebirds down on the property of their grandmother on the water in East Baltimore. The view was incredible. But upon arriving, we knew that in the next 2 hours, we would want to get them a lot of variety. So out the gate, we literally told them they had no choice but to hop in our car and we would find what their vision was. So not only did we fulfill what was in their head for photos but we got to take them on a wild “location unknown” trip for 2 hours around that part of Maryland. We went until we had no light and ended up sitting at dinner at Shultz’ Crab House (one of our favorites) in Essex eating crab bisque! Thanks for trusting us Chris and Hannah! Can’t wait to be alongside you!
Oooo, this is such a sweet vow renewal to share today!
Alex and Jon got married in 2020 with family and friends but it was small and intimate. They had postponed their large wedding to 2021 and asked us to come alongside them yet again to document a beautiful day as they renewed their vows in front of those unable to attend their 2020 ceremony. We had a lot of time with them, cruising the grounds of Hunt Valley Country Club. It was lovely and beautiful. Their reception was fully of dancing, their first dance witnessed by all and really yummy food and desert. Jon and Alex, thanks for trusting us with yet another momentous occasion in your life. We are so excited for you, proud of you for planning not 1 but 2 weddings in the middle of a pandemic. We wish you the absolute best!
We had always heard skyline Drive was incredible and beautiful. It wasn’t one of those destinations that we were ready to undergo with two little kids Intel. But when Chelsea and Josh hired us for their 2022 wedding they made it known at their consult that they had every intention to do their engagement pictures there. Patrick and I were so excited to have the opportunity to drive down there and do a session there. And let me tell you the view did not disappoint. Chelsea and Josh did awesome at their session. We met them mid day to basically cruise a 30 mile stretch of the Shannondoah Valley to find epic views and capture what was in their mind and heart for engagement pictures. We hopped in the same car and drove and spent basically 3 1/2 almost 4 hours together.
