I’ll never forget when Michelle called me, emailed me and texted me. I was soo excited to be able to shoot for such a wonderful woman, her soon to be husband and her kids.
I’m so thankful that we made the decision back in 2020 during the pandemic to launch Beloved Weddings… a wedding option for under 5 hours and under 50 people. It allowed us to give people incredible photos documenting their love story, without the high expense for our couples simply wanting documentation for smaller event.
What is the Wedding Boom!? How does it affect your business? As a bride or couple, what does it entail? Today we are diving into what the wedding boom is, and why it’s happening and some tips for what to do if you’re a couple planning their wedding or if you’re a vendor booking weddings this year and next.
What a cold session but Hannah and Nick did awesome! And so did their dog!
We met Hannah and Nick at Centennial Park about two hours before sunset. We knew where we wanted to take them and knew we were chasing daylight. The park had a lot of construction so our normal route had to be ditched and these two had to trust us as we drove throughout the park. Hannah and Nick, you guys did awesome! We are so excited to get to know you more and can’t wait for your wedding!
The super bowl is over Someone won. Someone loss. Someone somewhere questions the win, if it was fair, if it was deserved. Regardless of how we felt at the end of the game, you know what all the teams are doing right now. They are strategizing their next season.
Teams across the nation are starting all over in their prep, to prep for the next season. They are hustling and working sooo hard in preparation for what’s to come. It’s kinda like photography and running a business. Now is the time to strategize your year, to team up, to partner with the best, to figure out the ad campaigns you will run, how you’ll recruit more sales. At least that’s what we are doing over here. Today I’m sharing very simple tools we use to strategize the day, week, and year that don’t break the bank!
Dang, this is a bittersweet wedding for me. Not because of the couple, but because of the memories associated with this couple and their families. I met Christina back in 2017 at her sisters wedding. Amanda and Rob were the first couple to get married. Amanda is one of 3 sisters. Christina is the oldest, followed by Amanda and then Melissa. Melissa and Jon got married 2 years later, and we were asked again by this family to photograph their wedding day. We of course were honored and didn’t hesitate. Then 2 years later, Christina and Jeremy. How freakin’ awesome.
Ohh yah! Okay, so this is a really cold weather but beautiful session! Lauren reached out to me via Instagram and then we made our excitement a reality and Lauren and Nick booked me for their engagement session in Fells Point. These guys did awesome! While it was windy, chilly and hands eventually got too cold to do anything, these guys totally had fun together. Lauren and Nick, thanks for meeting me downtown and cruising around with me for your session. We are so excited for you and hope you enjoy every minute of this season!
Ekk, this session I’m so excited to blog! First off, I met Johnna years ago through Turf Valley and her sister Nicole who is one of my good friends. Love her to pieces! When Nicole AND Johnna both reached out to tell me that Johnna and Josh wanted to hire us for their wedding, we were elated, and so honored. Our time with Josh and Johnna was soo much fun. I’m not sure if we liked their session more, or talking about life, houses, and hobbies over some amazing CPK food! They dominated their session, and there was a little hazieness in the air that made it dreamy, suspenseful and romantic! Johnna and Josh, we are so pumped for you! We are going to have the most fun day with you guys!
Our last wedding of the year! I can’t believe we survived 2021 but we did and we did it next to the best couples on the planet. So excited to share this wedding with you all. Not only was this our last wedding of the year, but it was our 54th wedding of the year and there’s not another couple we would have wanted it to be.
Emily and Trevor, Congrats. Your day was full of so many sweet memories and moments. You both come from intentional, and beautiful families. The parent reveals were incredible, and watching Emily’s mom admire her daughter as she got dressed got me emotional too.
The whole day was full and fun. These lovebirds got ready at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, sharing a first touch and their vows on the Four Seasons waterfront. They actually rode together in the same vehicle to their ceremony but didn’t actually see each other until Emily walked down the aisle! Thanks for trusting us, for letting us get creative, and even letting us try something new. By new, these guys trust us to do a first touch followed by a photo looking at the camera… but without seeing each other. Talk about self control!
We are so excited to share Kayleigh and Clark’s beautiful winter wedding! Maggie and Patrick photographed their micro-wedding almost a year before, so I was thrilled to be able to document them celebrating their marriage with all of their family and friends. This was our first time shooting at Vignon Manor Farm, and I was so impressed by the gorgeous venue!
