Yah! This is one of our favorite posts to share year to year! This is a BEHIND THE SCENES blog post showing all the behind the scenes of us, our team, our relationships with clients and the hilarious moments that happen throughout the year. You’ll find us with our couples, holding a cat, a dog, even a baby, a veil, pretending to cut cake while testing light… oh, and you may see my RBF while testing light too… but I promise I do love helping Patrick set lighting. You’ll see us standing in the rain, covered in food, organizing families and people. While we work really hard, we definitely try to have fun, get creative and at the end, cultivate memories that last forever. Enjoy!
What an incredible wedding. Up on the blog today is Jenna and Scotts Bohemia River Overlook wedding! They are a power couple… Down to earth, genuine, fun, and honestly they deserve each other. Just amazing people. It was bittersweet for us because they were our last wedding of our 2022 wedding season. Typing that doesn’t even put words to it because we had such an incredible year!
Can we say champions!? Lauren and Luke met us in Baltimore City at the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower on one of the rainiest and darkest rain days we had all year. They were positive and happy and ready to go. We definitely ran late due to the weather but they were awesome and knew we’d make it up to them somehow. We knew we wouldn’t be outside much, so we made the most of the hour in the tower and took some rain photos outside! Although we all got wet, man do these two have some pretty sexy photos! We went to dinner at Little Havana afterwards and chowed down on breakfast food, hot tea, and some other good food. Lauren and Luke, you guys did awesome. Thanks for trusting us, for climbing steps, clock towers and letting us create some cool stuff for you. We are excited to spend more time with you in 2023 and can’t wait for your wedding! xo
Yah! This is such a fun session for us to post! Amol and Maria are one of our destination weddings next year! We are headed to Philly in 2023 for their wedding at the W and we are sooo pumped! They decided it only made sense to do a Philly based engagement session. They had a few locations in mind but they totally trusted us to cruise all around the city to get them some awesome variety. We ventured to their home, around the area, ended up at the famous Rocky stairs, around the museum and it’s surrounding gardens and wrapped up on the streets near their home. What I loved is that these guys were the first couple that we shared we were expecting in 2023 at dinner eating Tacos at one of their fav restaurants… which was so fitting since its one of my prego cravings! Baby Taco was announced to these lovebirds first and they were so excited for us. Amol and Maria… what a session you had. You trusted us, cruised around the city with us and we are so thankful for clients like you that empower us to do what we do best and what we love. So thank you! We can’t wait to party with you in 2023… it’s going to be amazing! xo
Yah! A Baltimore Engagement session that flew by but crushed by our couple. I’m not sure if I liked our session with them more than dinner, it’s pretty close! Julia and John did awesome at their session. We met them at Lake Roland and threw them into poses as we knew we were chasing daylight and only had an hour with them. By the time we finished, we were all were hungry and headed to Pepe’s for subs and to get to know each other. Let’s just say, we have SOO much history we didn’t even know. Turns out John knows a ton of people that Maggie knows and Patrick and Julia were champions as John shared his life with us and as we figured out all our connections. By the time we finished dinner, we knew it was meant to be and Julia and John were the perfect couple for us! You guys did awesome and we can’t wait to spend a whole day together and not just 2-3 hours. We can’t wait for your day, it’s going to be so fun!
I loved this sweet engagement session for Lauren and Brett at Loch Raven Reservoir! One of their very first dates was to the duck island here, so it was so fitting to come back and shoot their engagement photos here. We had the perfect fall afternoon for their session – it was a little chilly, but the color in the leaves was so vibrant it made for a beautiful backdrop for their photos. I loved seeing Lauren’s playful side as she chased ducks around, and we ended their session with the two of them slow dancing by the water while the sun went down. So beautiful! I also loved her ring – it was gorgeous and so unique.
Yah! This session is so fun for so many reasons! First off, Caitlin and David are sweet, genuine and just a lot of fun. Super trusting of us on the muggiest session we’ve had all year. That didn’t stop them from kissing, laughing and hiking through McKeldin State Park with us! The first part of the session, their sweet pup Blue, a gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog joined us for some pics. After that, we headed to the waterfall where we did some twirls and some intimate segments. Then we searched and chased light throughout the woods and fields. We finished their session with Korbel champagne popping as deer watched on. Oh and we can’t forget the giant sushi boat we all shared in Old Ellicott City for dinner! C+D, we are so pumped for what’s to come! We hope you love your photos and you’re excited for what’s to come!
There’s a beautiful wedding up on the blog today! We met Chelsea and Josh at a wedding expo. A few months after that, we drove down to meet them at Skyline Drive for their destination engagement session. We cruised all over to get epic photos for them. Our time with them with special as we knew we were in for a great wedding day with them. Josh and Chelsea’s got married at the Hunt Valley Country Club wedding in Timonium on an October day that was forecasted to rain but we totally lucked out! It was beautiful and overcast… my favorite lighting!
Yah! This awesome October wedding is up on the blog today! And we couldn’t be more excited to share it! Hannah and Chris had a beautiful Hayfields country club wedding, a sister club to Turf Valley resort, with a stunning pond, spacious grounds and main club house. During the pandemic the club did renovations so the ballroom looked very different from when I was last there in 2014 photographing florals for Victoria Clausen.
As many of you know, sibling weddings are some of my favorite weddings to photograph. I met Stephanie at her sister’s wedding, where Ashley and Joe got married at Army Navy Country Club. Stephanie was her maid of honor. That wedding was beautiful and you can see it here. Stephanie and Rick’s wedding was totally different though from her sisters wedding which I thought was so neat. I absolutely loved that Stephanie, as a expert in charcuterie, boards and cheese and wine, picked a winery as her venue. It was very fitting for her to get married to Rick in wine country. Steph and Rick got married in beautiful Leesburg at Stone Tower Winery.
