Bridal Shows are still a thing. I know some people think they are dead, but they actually aren’t, and we love them. We were at this bridal show and we met two brides who were there together looking for vendors. One of the brides we met previously at a bridal show and she introduced us to her friend Nicole. My favorite part of this story is that both of these brides hired us for their wedding day AND they were bridesmaids in each others weddings. Shooting both their wedding just a few weeks apart was super special for us.
When we met Mike and Nicole for the first time, our first impression was… in Patrick’s words… they seem like their pretty cool people. I mean, Mike did propose to Nicole in Portovenere, Italy at sunset at the top of the Church of San Pietro overlooking the Ligurian Sea the after a full day of hiking and exploring the Cinque Terre. How amazing is that!? Nicole knew what she wanted, from florals, to design, and color palette. And ultimately she wanted Mike. They met through work, and figured out how to make it work when they no longer worked for the same company. After being together long enough to realize they loved time spent together and weren’t getting tired of each other, they knew they had to get married and be together!
Insert Wedding Day… These guys had such a fun wedding. As in literal fun… Shotski and probably our favorite band to date… and all those who were there in agreement say, Heck Yah! They hired an incredible team of vendors to create what they had in their head that they couldn’t do on their own. The design was incredible and Drew Vanlandingham did an awesome job with his team (as usual). You’ve gotta scroll down and see the overhanging decor and the varying height centerpieces at reception. Some of my favs!
Mike and Nicole, it was just so awesome to be part of your day. Honestly, so special and we loved all the details you wove into the day. Even the private cake cutting was a first for us in 130+ weddings and we loved it. Cheers to you guys and lots of years! Keep celebrating your “engagement-versary” in Balt-Amore’s Little Italy whenever you can. And if you dance in your house together like you danced on the dance floor the night of your wedding you guys will have one incredible marriage!
Congrats again! Xo Maggie + Patrick
