Ekkk! This wedding is so fun for us to share. I have to first off say that some years we shoot venues more than we have any other year, and here’s a great example. It’s been YEARS since we’ve shot at the Mt Washington Dye House, and as I’m writing this post, I know we’ve already shot 3 weddings here this year in 2 months!
It’s such an awesome and cool industrial exposed brick wedding venue in the heart of Mt Washington near Roland Park… literally where I grew up.
We didn’t do an engagement session with Brittany and Joe, so when their day came, it felt like a reunion because it had been so long since we had met them. But walking into that room, it felt like we had known each other for years! The day was perfect, literally. Our morning started out with really intentional bridal party members helping at every stop. Their family members were so awesome to work with too (I have a sweet spot for all my moms and dads on wedding days)!
Really special first looks with family and friends, snuggles with their furbaby, and a really special first look out on the Four Seasons Harbor East waterfront terrace all ensued in the first hours of their day. They opted for a first look allowing us to get all their immediate family and bridal party photos finished, allowing them to enjoy cocktail hour, mingle with family and friends and more. Their ceremony was special as it was officiated by one of Joe’s oldest friends (from elementary school) and they grew up playing soccer together. He definitely had us laughing, honoring his friends and purposefully encouraged what would be the start of an incredible life!
The night was full of fun, dancing, laugher, cake, and even a cool night shot! Brittany and Joe, what a day! We loved being there with you and hope you absolutely loved every moment of it. We told you it would go fast, but we hope you were able to savor every hour, all those sweet conversations and compliments. We wish you guys the best of luck in you married life together and want nothing but the best for you! Xo M+P
