Morgan & Max had a darling sunrise engagement session in Annapolis, Maryland. The more we do weddings, the more we are finding that we really do love engagement session at sunrise (minus the lack of sleep). These two were champions. We met up with them at one location and decided we’d find another one that was better. Thanks you two for trusting us to head to a different location morning of!
We are so excited for these two. In February of 2017, these guys will say “I Do” surrounded by amazing trains at the Baltimore B&O Train Museum. We are thrilled to be working alongside these two lovebirds!
Amy and Alex are two peas in a pod. When we first met Alex he had a rockin’ mohawk, and Amy was this quiet fiance at the bridal show. All I know is that these two are definitely not quiet and they are definitely 100% in love with each other.
Amy and Alex get the award as a Radiant Bride with the most unique guests, details, and wedding day overall. I’ve never seen a bride walk down the aisle with Fairy wings, nor have I seen a Leprehchaun in the audience. I LOVED how unique and fun this wedding was, totally catering to our bride and groom.
This engagement session hits home for us, because this was our last engagement session in HIstoric Ellicott City in 2016 before the flood disaster hit. It probably will be the last one for years until the small town is restored.
Lauren and Brian met us at my favorite coffee shop, Bean Hollow, where we met them for the first time. These guys are are one of our out-of-state Radiant Couples. They are planning a beautiful wedding at the Washington Mill Dye House in September. These two lovebirds hired us before we even met them face-to-face. The four of us clicked right away as we wandered through Historic Ellicott City, photographing them at the B&O Railroad Museum, at the Tiber River Bridge between Tea on the Tiber and Bean Hollow, and an amazing blue alley behind those stores.
Sunrise Sessions are the best! The only problem… getting up at 4am to get out there for a 4:45 sunrise!! How gorgeous though, right?
Last Fall, one of our super cute couples, Casey and Clark, got married. Emily was a bridesmaids in that wedding and a cute one at that! Emily and Joe hired us shortly after we met them for their December 2016 wedding!
Emily and Joe are an Arlington VA couple… they love the water and Alexandria VA was a perfect fit for them! These two are beautiful and we had a blast with them, wandering the streets of Alexandria so early in the morning.
Patrick and I had an absolute blast photographing Eric and Abby’s beautiful Hunt Valley Golf Club wedding. Abby and Eric both come from amazing families making our day even that much more amazing.
There were so many things throughout this day, that just made this wedding unique. From the bride wearing a six pence in her shoe, and a piece of her mom’s wedding dress sewed into her dress, the sentimental pieces of this day are woven in. Abby also carried the same horseshoe that her grandmother and mother carried for good luck as she walked down the aisle after becoming Eric’s wife.
Tina and Sean shared a beautiful outdoor ceremony with family and friends underneath the weeping willows at Pond View Farms. This rustic shabby chic wedding was a perfect style to match this rust and beautiful barn wedding.
Tina, Sean, their families and their bridal party were excellent folks to celebrate the day with. Their guests were so friendly and sweet. The bridesmaids wore the same color and length dresses but different styles and the groomsmen wore tan suits with braces and suspenders. They also had great super hero socks as well!
The ceremony was so sweet. We loved that they assembled the unity cross during the ceremony as their faith metaphor in front of all their family and friends.
Sarah and Alex are just too cute. They were so nervous when we met up with them for their Annapolis engagement shoot, and I honestly can’t believe how fast these guys warmed up to the camera. They are affectionate, sweet, giggly, and just full of so much love. When we met up with them we knew we had to find the perfect place for these guys to shoot! So we decided to head to the Naval Academy to photograph them first in their element. As we wandered Annapolis, we found a few treasures… one of mine being the Annapolis Yacht club. Let’s just say, we are pretty close to buying a boat (Patrick would disagree haha). We love the water, and the sunset these guys got the night of their session couldn’t have been better. I swore, looking through the lens at sunset, that we were in some exotic nautical town outside the US. Just wait until you see these “islandy” feel of pics.
If you are a Maryland Terps fan, then this wedding is for you! Victoria and Chris happen to be alums and they are Maryland to the core. They were able to weave together so many Maryland themed parts to their wedding without it being overkill. My favorite of the Maryland themed items were Victoria’s garter, Chris’ cufflinks, the groomsmen suspenders, the Crap Dip favors, and the Baltimore skylines for their portraits and venue. Of course the group fraternity and sorority pic too during the reception.
These lovebirds had a beautiful full-mass ceremony at the gorgeous Saints Phillip and James Catholic Church downtown in Baltimore. They danced the night away, literally, at Tabrizi’s Waterfront.
Chris and Victoria, we loved being part of your wedding day, meeting your guests and families, and watching you guys laugh and smile all night long. We wish you guys the best!
It has taken me a while to write out this blog post because each time I do, I just can’t fathom what has transpired since this day. We’ve never photographed a wedding more honoring of life and witnessing real love in sickness and in health.
Our groom Kirk passed away within a week after their wedding. Amanda and Kirk were planning an amazing wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, but due to Kirks health getting worse in his battle again stage 4 colon cancer, they decided it was time to move up the wedding. Amanda and Kirk were in the midst of hiring us when I got their email requesting a new date. I remember it was that week of their July wedding asking if we were available. The new wedding date was 3 days away. It was the only weekend date in July we had left open on our calendar. I couldn’t believe that I was free to do it and be there for them.
This is another wedding that we were so excited to be a part of. Bridget and I are somehow related by marriage, but til this day, we still don’t know what we actually are. So second or third cousins is still the easiest way to put it!
Jeff and Bridget are the cutest pair. Bridget is a county bumpkin, horse loving beauty, and Jeff is a classy navy sailor. Most of their relationship was spent across seas from each other as Jeff has done two tours. We respect this man for serving our country. God Bless America.
