This coming September, I will be standing besides one of my friends, Brittany, when she says “I Do” to our friend, John. We are really excited for them!
This past weekend, we threw Brittany a surprise bridal shower which was awesome because even thought she was suspicious, she was still surprised.
Brittany thought she was meeting a bunch of us bridesmaids at Fiore Winery for a Bridal event where you can win your “dream honeymoon.” The only catch was that as many bridesmaids as possible needed to be there to win. SO… Allison and I (another bridesmaid) decided we would be the two that were “unable” to go to the event. This threw Brittany because she knew if we couldn’t make it, then it probably wouldn’t be a shower. So long story short, I lied to Brittany telling her I had a “photoshoot,” and Allison had to “work”. Well, we actually were helping the other bridesmaids set up and make the private room awesome!!
Here was the outcome of her SURPRISE shower. Brittany is a gem and from what we know, absolutely loved this day. She said,

“Just completely overwhelmed by the amount of love John and I were showered with today. While I was surprised by many lovely ladies at my bee-utiful shower today that my sister Melissa, mom Donna, future mom in law Cheryl and bridesmaids (Allison, Bethany, Kirsten, Maggie and Rachel) planned, John was relaxing with some wonderful men at my parent’s home. Through these and others not present today, God has provided for so many of our needs: gifts to start our life together, advice, love and most of all their support. We love you all and can’t express our gratitude enough!”
The cupcakes were my favorite detail. Thank you to the woman on Etsy who makes these fondant cupcake decor.

Brittany, so thankful you are in my life. Thank you for your intentionality, your consistency in my life, and being an encourager to me. Pumped to be part of your wedding day and this entire wedding process and planning! You looked beautiful at your shower and you will glow on your wedding day! Best wishes to you and praying the best in the few months you have left before you’re a married woman!!
