Lindsay and Matt are of our rescheduled couples. We have had the privilege of being alongside so many couples through what has been an emotional year and roller coaster. We are so glad that we were able to move every single one of our weddings.
When the day finally arrived, we were giddy for them! The girls got ready at Lindsay’s parents house in Towson at a childhood place with dogs included. Matt got ready at a local hotel. Lindsay wore her grandmothers handkerchiefs with her garters and she included a peach colored invitation stationary card with her flat lay that was the last piece of grandmother’s stationery. Some other things to note… we hung her dress on a Redwood tree that her dad planted that grew on their property. Laughter filled the rooms at both locations and eventually everyone would reconvene and meet up at the beautiful Bayfront Club on the water.
Lindsay and Matt shared a really sweet first look right on the water. Matt was emotional and Lindsay just beamed with excited to see her soon husband. We were able to do the majority of bridal party photos and newlywed pictures prior to ceremony as all family photos would be done afterwards. And what a beautiful ceremony these guys had on the water. Matt’s family is Jewish and so they incorporated some Jewish tradition into the ceremony including the stopping on the glass and a couple Jewish prayers given.
The weather was beautiful although it was hot we were especially thankful that guests had the opportunity to head straight up to cocktail hour afterwards and enjoy time with all of their friends and family with drinks in hand (orange crushes!), beautiful scenery and a lot of shade.
Reception was super fun! What I think is really special about this couple is at the mothers of the bride and groom have actually known each other a very long time and we’re friends even before conception of the two of them. They had a table basically honoring beloved family memories, but on this table, a gift given at a baby shower by the mother of the groom to the mother of the bride… a peter rabbit china set!
Lindsay and the girls and her family are Bryn Mawr graduates which for me was special because I too am a Bryn Mawr grad… they even included me in a group photo which was pretty special!
All I can say is Lindsay and Matt had the best day! They danced hard, laughed hard, enjoyed each other thoroughly. We were so glad to be able to be alongside you guys watching you smile hug dance after a crazy season of life and re-planning a wedding. We know the best is yet to come for you guys and we hope every time you eat Kohr Brothers ice cream you remember us… and the next time you feel like running through seagulls you know we would do it with you! xo
