Yah! This session is so fun for so many reasons! First off, Caitlin and David are sweet, genuine and just a lot of fun. Super trusting of us on the muggiest session we’ve had all year. That didn’t stop them from kissing, laughing and hiking through McKeldin State Park with us! The first part of the session, their sweet pup Blue, a gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog joined us for some pics. After that, we headed to the waterfall where we did some twirls and some intimate segments. Then we searched and chased light throughout the woods and fields. We finished their session with Korbel champagne popping as deer watched on. Oh and we can’t forget the giant sushi boat we all shared in Old Ellicott City for dinner! C+D, we are so pumped for what’s to come! We hope you love your photos and you’re excited for what’s to come!

You know, there’s people that you just wonder if you met them in person somewhere else. When we met Emma and Thomas for the first time, it was virtual because of Covid but we knew we’d have fun. It wasn’t until we met in person that I was like… oh my gosh… Emma is like a best friend from another life haha. She and I are so alike in so many ways but we also have so much in common like DIY projects and food! She’s officially going to be my Cricut Mentor and her and I are going to take on the etsy world with projects haha. But enough about us, let’s talk about her and Thomas. These two rocked their session and were so teachable and willing to try things with us that we hadn’t done in a while. Specifically motion blur with a train and some other cute poses. Emma and Thomas, thanks so much for allowing us to be creatives while having so much fun.

Aww man, this session just got me. Melissa and Brian are one of our “special” couples because Melissa has been alongside us working with us on wedding days. She is one of our associate photographers and she is incredible. She’s talented and beautiful and being able to photograph her and Brian was really special. I have a hard time photographing photographers because I know it’s hard when photographers photograph me. But Melissa let us do our thing and capture her and Brian and their amazing connection.

I love this wooded engagement session for so many reasons! Zach emailed us earlier in the week to let us know that he would be giving Melinda a present. These guys loves Harry Potter and wanted some photos with their wands and books. Little did Melinda know, Zach had cut out and glued the pages of a book and hid a present inside. So creative and so thoughtful! Melinda loved it!

It was so great to meet Laura and Kurt at the Living Radiant office a few months ago! They are the sweetest couple, their wedding to be focused on their family and friends. When it got time to plan their engagement session, Laura said she really wanted it to feel like fall! Well, fall came late this year and with all of the rain we had to reschedule until we could find a perfect day with the perfect colors! We met at one of my favorite places, Patapsco State Park. There is so much variety there, from bridges to the river to even train tracks. It’s always one of our favorites. Luckily, the weather was great that day and we were able to find some beautiful fall-like places to shoot! We even spotted a part of the track that was shared with a family of deer. When we show up to a meeting and the bride has already decided she’s going to hire you, you know you’re gonna have a blast. Caty-Betz and Kyle are getting married next year and knew upon getting engaged that they wanted us. Gosh, what an incredible honor that is. It probably helps that one of her best friends is our assistant Sarah (looks like I owe her a Christmas bonus!)… but really really, we are thrilled to have these lovebirds on our calendar next year. 

We love bridal shows… it’s where we meet a lot of amazing couples and soon to be clients. Marissa and Tucker were a couple who won our giveaway engagement session

Most folks don’t know this, but for every venue we photograph at, we take site visits. Last fall, I was out at Belmont Manor doing a walk through for a client, and ran into our “friends” Lexi, owner of Events by Lexi, a wedding planner in Baltimore. Lexi happened to be there showing her client the venue. I met Kimmie and Shawn that day, not realizing that soon they’d be asking us to be their wedding photographers! We were honored when they asked us!

Patrick and I had a blast with these two! They were adventurous and super trusting of our creativity and vision for the day. Megan had the perfect dress to get into the water and do some epic water shots, and Seth was just game! Not many guys would take off their shoes, roll up their suit and get in the water. SO thanks Seth for trusting us in that realm!
