Our first engagement of the 2020 year has happened and we are sooo glad it was Shannon and Rob! I jokingly said, “we’re a little rusty” because it had been 3 days since our last wedding of 2019. We all laughed.
Shannon and Rob are the cutest! They really didn’t have a set location they wanted to shoot at so we proposed a few ideas and we ended up heading into Baltimore the first week of January into Harbor East to rock their session all around the Inner Harbor. We cruised and covered so much land in a short amount of time. Shannon’s outfit was soo cute (LOVED the black dress) and the weather was supposed to rain so the overcast skies allowed for some beautiful backdrops and lighting.
Shannon and Rob, you guys crushed it… AND even though you tota
This wedding day was such a fun one to photograph. First off, Susan and Jim were a super trusting client. We had only met them a couple times before their wedding and for not doing an engagement session with them, they rocked their newlywed pictures and their bridal party photos amazingly!
We spent the majority of the day at the Maryland Club. This venue is beautiful and this was our first wedding with them… it was a great experience. The historic and richness of the rooms made for beautiful photographs AND the guests had plenty to look at.
How fun was this day! What a way to step out of your comfort zone… for all of us! Gloria and Roger opted for a really unique engagement session in DC at the National Gallery of Art! It was a rainy day, so we had crowds to compete with, but they were both super flexible and were go gracious as we mazed through the museum! I loved how creative this session became and how much fun we had exploring. I can’t remember the last time I was at this museum, it’s definitely been over 10 years! These cuties are a lot of fun, I met them first at Lina and Jake’s wedding in March of 2019. I can’t wait for their wedding this September!!
I’m always amazed at how connections are made and how clients find us. Months ago I got an inquiry from a new business in town that needed a photographer for their ribbon cutting and business launch. They found us through a wedding venue coordinator we work with often. I shot that event, met a lot of people and got to celebrate in incredible business. On that day I met Scott, having no idea he was engaged OR that he would soon be in need of a photographer for his stateside wedding.
Super excited to share this wedding with you all as I’ve been cheering Erin and Frank on since I met them almost 3 years ago in July when they took a cute picture on IG in front of our 4th of July parade float and tagged us in it! We are sooo bummed we can’t join them in Mexico for their destination wedding, but when these lovebirds asked me to shoot their stateside wedding, I of course said Yes. These two are champions (well literally too cause they are fitness models and win all the time at their competitions) but beyond that, they are sweet, amazing, sooo kind and totally in love. Like the kind dreams are made of! Erin and Frank, Patrick and I are sooo excited for what’s ahead for you. We think the world of you and can’t wait to see what unfolds for you. And you know I’ll be stalking your Mexico wedding so be sure to have someone IG’ing all the behind the scenes of your incredible day! xo
Super excited to share this November wedding with you! Melissa and Kevin first off are probably some of the most easy going clients we’ve had all year, and that says a lot because most of our couples are that way. But these guys, holy moly. I’ll give you lots of examples. First example… their engagement. Seriously one of the coldest days of 2019, and it was a sunrise cherry blossom session… they smiled the whole time, while melissa couldn’t feel her toes, her hands, her smile, anything. But her laughter is contagious, allowing the rest of us to just have so much fun.
I always tell people “Anyone can go to the top of Federal Hill, it’s free!” But here’s the thing… when it’s your home or your backyard, heck ya, you shoot there!
Krissy and DJ found us online, maybe google, maybe IG, but there’s one thing that’s for sure, when we met these guys, there was no denying this would be such a great match. When we meet with couples we try really hard not to make it like an interview, because it’s awkward for all of us… just like the start of all our engagement sessions.
I remember going to the Antrim 1844 as a young girl with my parents. I thought it was gorgeous, something out of a magazine, something historic and so neat. I remember thinking their gardens would be so pretty to take pictures of. But never did I think we’d shoot a wedding here. The Antrim 1844 has been on my bucket list since 2014 when we went full time. This is our first wedding there.
Our time with these guys was so fun and adventurous. We drove almost an hour and a half to Abby’s parents private farm on 17 acres. It was absolutely beautiful and there was so much variety. We literally were driving off road across their property to find property gems that would be perfectly suited to show off our couple.
We’ve known Kelly’s family for what seems like forever. Honestly, the fact that I have photographed weddings for friends that I’ve grown up with is pretty amazing. I’m actually honored and it’s sooo special.
When Kelly reached out to us about shooting her wedding, I was so excited. When we met Mike and did their engagement session, I knew their wedding would be so sweet and fun. Fun was an understatement.
