I had the honor of photographing Amelia + Marshall’s wedding at Baltimore Museum of Industry in July, and I am so excited to share it with you! Amelia got ready with her party at Brushed Beauty Salon. One of my favorite details of the day was that everyone in the wedding party was rocking purple converse, and Amelia + Marshall had white ones with their initials and wedding date on the back – we love personal details! Once everyone was ready, we travelled over to BMI for a first look and to begin portraits. It was raining a little, so we improvised and did an intimate first look in the gazebo, and loved how it came out. Luckily the rain let up, and we were able to do newlywed portraits and wedding party portraits outside. I love how much the vibrant purple outfits and flowers popped on the overcast day. We did family portraits inside prior to ceremony, which was also in the museum. Amelia + Marshall loved the museum vibe, so we did some additional newlywed and wedding party portraits throughout the museum, and I love the way they came out.
Ohh yah! Okay, so this is a really cold weather but beautiful session! Lauren reached out to me via Instagram and then we made our excitement a reality and Lauren and Nick booked me for their engagement session in Fells Point. These guys did awesome! While it was windy, chilly and hands eventually got too cold to do anything, these guys totally had fun together. Lauren and Nick, thanks for meeting me downtown and cruising around with me for your session. We are so excited for you and hope you enjoy every minute of this season!
Clark and Casey met in SAT class at their high school, Archbishop Spalding, in the summer of 2006. Little did Casey know the funny kid in the bright orange hat would turn out to be the love of my life! Their first date was to Downtown Annapolis that summer, and since then they have had many, many more in that beautiful location! It will forever be a special place for them. After high school they spent their college years on opposite sides of Pennsylvania, Clark at St. Vincent College, and Casey at York College of Pennsylvania. They discovered that distance truly makes the heart grow fonder, and their love only continued to grow deeper. College came and went and the day finally came that they were both back in Maryland for good! Then, on October 29th, 2014, Clark popped the question, and of course Casey said yes! As best friends they are thrilled to be spending life together… November can’t come soon enough!
I’ll never forget the inquiry I got from Stephanie and Tim for the first time they reached out to us. When the question “How did you find us?” came up, Stephanie said “We just stumbled upon you!”
This couple is the kind of couple we hope for, pray for, and get excited to work with. Not just because they “stumbled upon us” but also because they are fun, adventurous, sweet, light hearted, and when you’re with them, you feel like you’ve been friends for years.
I just can’t stand it any longer! Josh and Nichele are not just clients but they are dear friends of ours. We are so honored to be their wedding photographers. I really wish I met Nichele like YEARS ago! She’s a babe. I’ve known Josh pretty much since he was like a little kid… oh wait, I was a little kid too!! Josh and his family moved to Baltimore when I was in middle school… so I’ve known him over half of my life. I have the honor of knowing Nichele because of Josh now. Nichele has become a dear friend to me (ever since we moved to Ellicott City and I feel like my social life is my phone and computer, but really haha). Patrick and I really value and appreciate their friendship.
On a warm and beautiful day in Westminster, MD, Shannon and Bill invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their wedding, a day full of love, moonshine, and vows. Unions Mills Homestead was a perfect place to demonstrate their love in front of a cloud of witnesses. Shannon and Bill’s love is beautiful. They have two precious beautiful children, the result of head-over-heels love for one another. Their goal: to have a ball and dance the night away. They wanted to share these memories with their loved ones and everyone they cherish and hold dear. Watching Shannon and Bill throughout the wedding day made me smile… even when we were driving home that night.
Last weekend, my cousin Krissy got married in Richmond Virginia. What a beautiful weekend away and what a fabulous reason for a road trip! She was an absolutely stunning bride.
Krissy invited me to her bridesmaids luncheon at The Blue Goat, a Neo-southern comfort food restaurant, sourced locally when possible. (They have the BEST TOT-CHOs – spicy tater-tots I’ve ever had, hoping to try to replicate in my own kitchen hehe).
