These guys opted for quiet waters park in Annapolis because that’s home for them. They both are military and Sarah is a naval academy grad! Their sweet sweet pup Scarlet did awesome! Stephen and Sarah, You guys rocked your session, even though it was cold cold!!! We can’t wait for your wedding day to come!
We can’t tell you how many weddings we’ve shot where we’ve photographed siblings, cousins, etc. We met James and Jessica through his sister, Heather, who was one of our brides. When James and Jessica said they wanted to hire us too, we were so so excited. Not just because they are sweet, fun, and beautiful, but also because we love their family, and can’t wait to see them all again. It will be like a reunion!
We shoot lots of weddings, like 30-40 a year. Recently we shot a wedding at Belmont Manor and this super sweet bridesmaid decided to hire us for her engagement session. We are so bummed because we are already booked on her Long Island NY wedding date (we secretly hope they change their date so we can shoot there wedding… cough cough).
But really, we loved loved spending time with Jamie and Lauren and their sweet pup. These guys were so natural with each other, and they treat each other so well and sweetly. Jamie is a local police officer (I told him my nickname is Mad Max because I tend to speed), but we are so grateful and love local military and civil servants. Jamie, thanks again so much for serving and striving to keep us safe. Baltimore is awesome when it behaves… but it doesn’t always.
Ropewalk Tavern is a historic part of Federal Hill. We actually had never been to it. We recently went to the one in Ocean City which is a super awesome family restaurant and bar up near 95th street in Ocean City, MD.
John has been a manager at the Ropewalk Tavern for something like 8 or 10 years. He’s been there… forever. Everyone in Federal Hill knows him. When we shot John and Olivia’s engagement session, we ran into multiple people that knew them.
Two years ago we started advertising with Wedding Wire. All our clients write reviews for us on that website, and lots of brides find us through wedding wire.
Genevieve is my Wedding Wire Sales Rep. I still think it’s pretty awesome that she and Alex hired us. She works with hundreds of photographers on their online platform and they chose us!!
Even though I’ve been working with Genevieve for a couple of years, I just met her face to face for the first time at a wedding we shot in June. We were so pumped to meet her and Alex, even if it was for a few seconds on the dance floor.
Ashleigh and Max are just the goofiest! Our assistant Sarah met up with them a couple of weeks ago at the Shrine of St. Anthony here in Ellicott City! This will also be the site of their wedding next month. We can’t wait to celebrate these two and their special day!
We had a ton of fun, even through the heat! The butterflies were out in the butterfly garden and the sun lit up the grounds. We felt like VIPs at this venue because it’s not a public wedding venue. They wanted their engagement pictures to be at the same venue as their wedding!
Most folks don’t know this, but for every venue we photograph at, we take site visits. Last fall, I was out at Belmont Manor doing a walk through for a client, and ran into our “friends” Lexi, owner of Events by Lexi, a wedding planner in Baltimore. Lexi happened to be there showing her client the venue. I met Kimmie and Shawn that day, not realizing that soon they’d be asking us to be their wedding photographers! We were honored when they asked us!
Patrick and I had a blast with these two! They were adventurous and super trusting of our creativity and vision for the day. Megan had the perfect dress to get into the water and do some epic water shots, and Seth was just game! Not many guys would take off their shoes, roll up their suit and get in the water. SO thanks Seth for trusting us in that realm!
