We talked a lot about where they’re from. University of South Carolina is a big deal for these guys. Upon showing up to the Airbnb where they were getting ready flags hung outside and trees and on the building. At reception the flag was brought out and half their guest count were in a photo. These guys lacked no fun at their wedding and Alyssa danced the whole time! I have no doubt that their wedding was the best night of their life. They did not do a first look which I thought was going to be super stressful for the amount of people they had… we were definitely put to the test. 22 total. 11 on each side. What a feat. I had 10 on each side when I got married so I loved this group of attendants! Their wedding party was so much fun!
I’ve known Jason for what I think is almost 10 years. Patrick has probably known him longer! His sister heather is one of my best friends and his sister Sam and her husband Andrew are one of our 2017 couples. As a result I have gotten pretty close to their family so shooting this wedding was super special. When we met Lauren for the first time I knew she would be so much fun to work with. Her and Jason are so sweet together and their families are incredible.
When you show up on a wedding day to the brides getting ready Suite and are welcomed with the biggest hug, you know it’s gonna be a good day.
Gene and Caras wedding was one for the books. We made a killer timeline for these guys, one that is a little rare for us. No first look but 3 hours between ceremony end and cocktail hour start. The morning was sweet with an amazing dad Reveal followed by a traditional Greek ceremony. After our couple recessed down the aisle as newlyweds (woot woot) we dominated family photos followed by an adventure to the inner harbor. Cara wanted photos with Gene in front Baltimore’s historic constellation so we did even better. We got them by it as well as Baltimore skylines and really awesome Baltimore culture in the backdrops.
Tom and Caitlin had a classic and elegant wedding downtown in Fells Point! They had an intimate ceremony in Catonsville at St. Hilda’s Episcopal Church (formerly St. Timothy’s) where Caitlin’s mom got married at years ago! We were even able to recreate her parents’ favorite wedding photo at the church’s door.
Korinna and Dustin kicked off our fall 2019 wedding season. We had 22 wedding left in 5 months and couldn’t wait to get rolling with amazing fall weddings.
Our morning with these guys was awesome. We took the limo to the naval academy where family watched and cheered on. Once they had seen each other, Patrick and i cruised all over the campus with our almost married couple and their wedding party. The beauty of first looks is the majority of photos are done on the front end. We did have to spend some more time after ceremony too because there was a huge orientation at the rotunda and Korinna really wanted photos there. We made sure to get them, it would just be a couple hours later. Korinna and Dustin had a gorgeous naval academy wedding. The chapel is just amazing and it’s run so well by their coordinators. After they were married, a sword arch in the stairs commenced right as the skies opened up! Honestly, it looked so cool and only lasted a couple minutes. Thankfully we got back to the rotunda for a newlywed photo segment.
What an awesome session this was! We’d like to say that it’s pretty obvious that Jessica and Jon feel 100% comfortable with each other and they are the ones to put each other at ease, not us. As Fells Point locals, they really wanted their session to capture their love story and so choosing Fells Point for their e-session was a no brainer.
When I think of a vibrant colorful engagement session, I’ll totally think about these two!
Maria and Shantanu are having an Indian/American fusion wedding next October 2020 and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this season of life with them.
Our time with them was super sweet… as a Locust Point couple living close to Under Armour, we felt it fitting to do their engagement session near “home” for these two. Patrick and I were excited about it because we realized in all our sessions, we’ve never done a shoot in Locust Point with one of our couples!
Chrissy and Ryan’s session was better than I could imagine. They were pros. Their genuine affection, joy, and enthusiasm radiated during the whole time we were together. I proposed a few fun photo segments and they totally took me up on it. Wait until you see the Scooter and Ice Cream segment of our time together.
I’m gonna recap this wedding for you. Beautiful details, beautiful bridesmaids, a killer vendor team including My Flower Box, Crow Entertainment, Betsy Robinson Bridal, Flavor Cupcakery, Radiant Films, and so much more goodness. The day was smooth and wedding day full. Although we highly recommend first looks, these guys had the perfect timeline in place for a day without a first look. Watching Josh see Lindsay for the first time was so sweet. The backdrop for their wedding day was beautiful, they couldn’t have asked for better weather. It even rained and then stopped before ceremony which was amazing!! We didn’t even have to use umbrellas at all that day!
