It’s become common for us to go to New York more than once in a year for our couples. Almost every year we either shoot a New York wedding or a New York engagement session. I’m going to put it out there into the Instagram world and Blog world that I’d LOVE to shoot an engagement session in Central Park at the Zoo! Yes please! So if you know anyone, send them our way! Oh and with some of the Plaza in the background please!!
Anyway, Marisa and Kris hired us for their Maryland wedding but being both from New York, it was only fitting to photograph these lovebirds in the state they met, at a GORGEOUS historic state park near Kris’ home.
Patrick and I arrived at Camusett Historic Park right on schedule with sweats and no makeup. Conveniently used a bathroom and spiced up for our mid-day e-session. The weather was definitely in our favor after driving up for almost 5 hours. Overcast skies with a little bit of sun.
These guys got us access to drive all over the historic park, allowing us to see beautiful bay views, gorgeous mansions, wooded trails, and But of course, this shoot wouldn’t be complete without a classic car. This 1936 Dodge Sedan, still drivable, was pivotal in their session. It belongs to Kris’ grandfather and this day was the first time it’s been driven since 2014.
In our 3 hours with them, we got soooo much variety. Awesome lighting and Variety are our two goals for our sessions. Because everyone looks awesome in gorgeous lighting, backdrops are simply bonus. These guys got all of it!
Marisa and Kris, we LOVED our time with you guys. We laughed so much… it’s clients like you that are gonna keep us young and loving our job. That great restaurant we went too as well was a blast (yes, you can keep that extra basket of garlic knots here, we will eat them all!). We are so excited for your wedding day and can’t wait to see you again!
