This wedding was one for the books for us. Kristin and Adam are incredible. I felt like I’ve known them forever, but the first time we met in person was at their wedding. K+A were referred to us by one of her bridesmaids, a friend of mine from college, thanks Steph! When they hired us, we were so pumped! We had never shot a wedding at Belmont Country Club in Leesburg VA, so shooting a Loudon County wedding was pretty neat for us. When we arrived, we loved the venue. The guys were in a parlor of a historic house and the girls were in a sitting room that partnered a gorgeous high ceiling bathroom. Probably the prettiest bathroom I’ve ever seen on a wedding day.
The girls were so sweet and inviting and fun. Kristin looked incredible and her dad’s reveal was so special. K+A decided not to do a first look but did a first touch, which they got to talk, and pray together at the pre-ceremony. As Christians ourselves, Patrick and I loved that they invited God into the day from the beginning. The ceremony was beautiful. Half way through though you could see the rolling storm… holy moly. Not only did we have to navigate a HUGE storm that blew in minutes after ceremony, but we had to navigate how to get all their photos done without many indoor options at venue. What a crazy adventure the following hour would be. Full wedding party photos were quick as we navigated the storm. We found shelter from the wind on the back side of the house where we did newlywed photos and family photos which soon turned into us getting creative and using an overhang to keep the rain off all of us (well except Patrick haha). K+A, thanks for trusting us. These two had the best day. You could tell they were soaking up all their family and friends, and had a lovely day! I LOVED the rose petals that were included from the flat lay, to the ceremony, to the dance floor (thanks to the kids) and lastly to the send off with the Mazerati.
Thanks K+A for trusting us, especially when we got you into our vehicle and drove down to catch sunset! You guys are the best. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for you both and we wish you all the best! xo
