We have been waiting years… yes, years for this incredible wedding with Kevin and Eugenia. When they hired us back in 2019, none of us knew what was coming in a few short months. The pandemic impacted all of us, and thanks to great clients, amazing vendors, and great hope, we knew the day would come and we would all be able to celebrate these two amazing people.
Kevin and Eugenia had a gorgeous day on Gibson Island. A year prior to this day, Kevin and Eugenia made their marriage official on the boat slips on Gibson Island surround by immediate family and handful of friends. To be back on the island felt great, and this time with 10x the amount of people! The morning kicked off with the bridesmaids getting ready at the cottage while the guys golfed and hung out at the clubhouse. Kevin and Eugenia anticipated the moments leading up to their first look. I loved how Kevin looked at his wife as if it was really their wedding day, and not just a party. We cruised around the property of the club and then met the bridal party to go back to the boat docks for portraits. With smaller families we were able to get them a lot of variety and as we say on most wedding days “kids are like popsicles, eventually they melt” and the littles did great until they couldn’t anymore.
The details at this wedding are to die for! Hands down my favorite details were there blue and white dishes throughout the venue draped in florals… an incredible floral piece down the staircase, and the seating chart display was gorgeous. If you know me, I absolutely LOVE florals and how they transform spaces!
As guests arrived they were welcomed by a string quartet. The ceremony was sweet and short, on the water with a breeze with 2 readings and a ukelele playing in the background. These two said I Do again in front of all those they love! After ceremony, our newlyweds headed to cocktail hour, joined friends from all seasons of life and soon after walked into a gorgeous ballroom!
The band and dance floor was set outside waiting for lots of dancing feet.
Kevin and Eugenia, what a day! There wasn’t any part of the day that wasn’t amazing. It all was beautiful, enjoyable, and gorgeous. We hope this last year has been full of good memories and we hope this post is a beautiful summary of your day that you shared with each other and those you hold most dear. We wish you the absolute best of luck in all your endeavors! Xo M+P
