Jessica and Kevin got married and we are excited to share this beautiful Memorial Day Wedding!
We LOVE this wedding because it’s totally flavored with our city Baltimore! Their favors were crab mallets with Old Bay Spice jars. They chose the colors based on the wedding being in the evening at such a “colorful” venue, AVAM. The checkerboard dance floor and the metal truss overhead were awesome additions to their wedding day. Very unique to their ceremony… they became husband and wife on a staircase in the center of the venue.
Here’s their story:
Kevin and Jessica met at a Memorial Day cookout in 2010. They truly enjoyed each others company and had some of the best times together when they first began dating. By January of the following year they decided to mesh their families under one roof. Kevin and Jessica talked about getting engaged and decided to take it slow. On Valentine’s Day 2014, Kevin told Jessica she had to wait until he got off work to exchange gifts. She was convinced she was getting a new bike, which she was excited about. Kevin and their kids had blindfolded Jessica and led her up to the house where they originally met. As they took the blind fold off her, she heard “their song” – Hold You In My Arms by Ray Lamontague. Her fiancé Kevin was there down on one knee with ring in hand.

“
I immediately started crying my eyes out! I had NO idea that was the gift I was receiving. It was very thoughtful of Kevin to take me back to the place where we had met, where it all started to pop the question. It was touching and while our friends are no longer in that house, I will forever remember it. Memorial Day is special for us, so we decided to do the wedding that weekend. We had celebrated our anniversary on Memorial Day for the past four years and this year will will be tying the knot on our fifth year anniversary. We will dance to Ray LaMontague on our wedding day and probably on each anniversary for many years to come.”
Congrats you two lovebirds and thank you so much for allowing Patrick and I to be a part of such a beautiful day. xo
Just for fun… we always take pics of each other throughout for behind the scenes… and if we can, we snag a pic with our couples! Thanks Jessica and Kevin for a great wedding!
