Life is full of decisions.
We made a big one.
Wedding Photography isn’t something you just wake up and say you’re going to do.
At 9 years old, my dream of doing photography full-time was some big, out of reach thing. I wanted to work for a company or for myself, get paid to photograph and travel and meet awesome people. My goal: to capture the moments that could be lost in the blink of an eye.
I’m sentimental, you see. I always wanted to be in love. I used to get butterflies when I’d see people kiss, and I’d want to know why they loved each other. Why did they choose each other and what made their story so special. I wanted it for myself. And I wanted to tell their stories. I’ve always kept a journal… like I have 15+.
I studied International Business in hopes it would take me to all people groups, all over the nation, and allow me to work with the greatest people on the planet. I wanted to tell people’s stories. What better way then through my camera.
In May of 2010 right after graduating college, I launched Radiant Photography. But it didn’t pay the bills. SO I built it the last few years alongside my full-time jobs. Well…little did I know that my childhood dream would become a reality this year. In May of this year, 4 years later, I jumped, head first, into my dream of photography full-time.
I debated getting another full-time job, actually cried at the thought of jumping out in fear I might fall and damage myself. However, my AMAZING husband said,
At the beginning of the year we had 2 weddings lined up. By the end of the year, we will have photographed 10 weddings. We got published in Style Me Pretty, and we have 13 weddings already booked for 2015.
Dreams Come True… Just Say “Yes.”
Thank you to all my amazing brides and grooms, families, pregos, babies, and seniors for entrusting your stories to us and helping our dreams come true. We will never be the same.
