Jillian and Chris got married in early September, and we couldn’t be more excited for them! Our first real hangout with these two was during their engagement session, with their precious pup Camden. Camden was a puppy and active and sweet. We loved their e-session!
Someone recently asked us “Are you really like best friends with your brides?” and the answer is “of course!” I am a HUGE advocate of hiring folks that you have natural affinity for. Our Radiant Brides are women that I relate to, resonate with, can laugh with, encourage, and have a friendship with. Melissa is one of these women. When Patrick and I first met Sam and Melissa, they invited us to their house. I felt SO honored to be invited into their home, as most our meetings are in public places, in coffee shops and restaurant (in the coming years we will have a home where we can host ourselves!) As we walked them through packages as we do with all couples, we felt like we were friends hanging out, answering questions, and petting their dog Cloud as he rubbed against our legs at the table.
Earlier this year, we got an email from N inquiring to photograph a beautiful stateside Indian wedding reception for a super sweet couple. It was super fun and we met some amazing people. N was our contact and since then has become a friend. She and her fiance P are now engaged and are getting married in India the week before Christmas!! How amazing! We were so excited to be have photographed their engagement session at Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring, MD! And look at her amazing Sari! Having been to India, I just loved the culture behind this couple and I think it’s time for me to bust out my Sari’s!
When we first met Holley and Ray, we loved the fact that Ray is a Fireman and Holley is a nurse. What a dynamic Duo! When we did their engagement session in the fall and spent more time with them, we really knew the four of us would have a blast on their wedding day and throughout the rest of the process.
In the beautiful historic town of Gettysburg, Holley and Ray tied the knot at the Historic Round Barn and said “I Do” up on top the hill of the beautiful apple orchards that overlook the barn.
Holley & Ray, we wish you guys the best! Congrats on a beautiful wedding day! Be sure to text us the next time you’re in Ellicott City! We’d love to give you both a squeeze!
More than 5 years ago, Patrick and I were kinda dating, kinda friends. At the time, I was going to a young adults ministry at a church in Cockeysville and attending church on Sunday mornings with Patrick in Perry Hall. I went to a bible study hosted by this super sweet girl named Jenna. I haven’t seen Jenna in years.
Fast forward to today, it’s been about 4years since I went to that bible study, but I got an email from a Jenna inquiring about what we do! I was so excited when we found out that Jenna and Seyi wanted to bring us alongside in their engagement journey into their marriage as their wedding photographers!! I LOVE it when we reconnect with folks through our business and then get to be cheerleaders for their wedding, and ultimately their marriage!!
Patrick and I have had a share of Bridal shows… some are great, and some not so great. We met Doug and Jessica at a Bridal show last year. They were the wedding vendor right next to us. We talked throughout the show, laughed, and basically decided it was our worst show to date… for both us and Doug and Jess. The best part of that show… we met Doug and Jess, and they are now one of our awesome Radiant couples.
So it’s not everyday that we get to photograph people related to us! John is Patrick’s first cousin, and his fiance Jessica has become a sweet friend and soon to be cousin by marriage! John and Jessica asked us to be their wedding photographers, and we are so honored and so excited. Our time with them in Frederick was a blast. Sweet Daisy is their pup, who just has this amazing smile and would make me laugh every time we photographed her in a segment.
It’s so funny to me how some of our clients come to us. My youngest brother is a Mount St. Joe grad and he went to Prom with this super sweet girl named Shannon. It’s been over 2 years since that happened, and then one day, we meet her older sister, Megan!! We clicked right away with Charles and Megan and were so excited to bring them on as 2016 wedding clients! Here’s a little history on this cute couple and their proposal story.
