I am so excited for this fall 2020, Living Radiant has some beautiful weddings coming up! For me, I can’t wait for this October wedding because my groom, Jon, is a friend from college! We went to Towson University together almost SEVEN YEARS ago! Oh, how the time flies! While we both stayed local to the area, luckily, and I was so thankful he called when he wanted to propose to his super sweet girlfriend, Alex! You can catch that sweet moment here!
We met Erin years ago at a Bridal Show. Fast forward to 2019, Erin emailed us, told us she was engaged and asked us to shoot her wedding. She knew she wanted us way back in 2015 or 2016 which is incredible that years later she remembered us and asked us. I felt like I was getting proposed to haha. We were absolutely thrilled when she asked us. We were excited to meet Brian and since all of us are business owners, there’s just this deeper level of understanding that we all get with each other.
Anytime we shoot new locations, we get really giddy and excited. Our couples probably think we are nuts, cause we show up, hug them, and then propose our strategy for their session. As most our couples, these guys were like… yes please, we don’t know what to do. So we set out on an adventure through a new state park on the water across the bay bridge. We had no idea what we would find but I’ll tell you, we found SO much variety for these guys. I don’t have a favorite segment for this session because every time we walked a little further, we found more beauty.
Lauren and Dan… What can we say??? You guys were so much fun to work with! Your wedding day was really special. We absolutely loved that you had a small and intimate wedding party and a small guest count. Intimate is the word I would use for your wedding day. The love you guys have for each other is so evident, I mean look at your photos. The laughter you cause each other to release is what we wish for our couples for years to come! Even when you came to our house for your gallery reveal, we felt like we were with friends, not just one of our couples. You even cozied up with each as you look through photos!
I’ll never forget when Heather sat at my kitchen table in our new home and told leaned over to KC and told him she was going to have to cancel their next meeting. As in they had planned to meet another photographer that night after us, and decided not to. They booked us at our table that night and the rest is history! The only thing that could’ve made this wedding day better was if selfishly, we had done an engagement session with them because we didn’t feel like we had enough time with them on wedding day! These guys had a ton of guests, an awesome timeline, and were covered head to toe in love.
We talked a lot about where they’re from. University of South Carolina is a big deal for these guys. Upon showing up to the Airbnb where they were getting ready flags hung outside and trees and on the building. At reception the flag was brought out and half their guest count were in a photo. These guys lacked no fun at their wedding and Alyssa danced the whole time! I have no doubt that their wedding was the best night of their life. They did not do a first look which I thought was going to be super stressful for the amount of people they had… we were definitely put to the test. 22 total. 11 on each side. What a feat. I had 10 on each side when I got married so I loved this group of attendants! Their wedding party was so much fun!
We met Tracey and Jason towards the end of a bridal shower early this year at Eagles Nest. When I saw them I thought they were really cute and could only hope that they would hire us. We started talking and I quickly came to realize that these guys were actually the exact kind of client that we not only loves but we knew if they chose us that this would be a really cool relationship. Tracey and Jason were like us… they had spent a lot of their years praying and believing for God to bring an amazing spouse.
I’ve known Jason for what I think is almost 10 years. Patrick has probably known him longer! His sister heather is one of my best friends and his sister Sam and her husband Andrew are one of our 2017 couples. As a result I have gotten pretty close to their family so shooting this wedding was super special. When we met Lauren for the first time I knew she would be so much fun to work with. Her and Jason are so sweet together and their families are incredible.
We are so excited to introduce you to Brittany and Juan. I couldn’t even tell you where we met these guys initially but the friendship that’s come about, I feel like I’ve known them for years. We shot their snowy engagement session in Deep Creek over the winter of 2018/2019 and it was so memorable as Patrick, Zeke and I spent almost a week out there in a cabin celebrating our anniversary. While planning out trip, we proposed the idea to Brittany and Juan since they live out of state in WV. So they met us out there and gosh did we have fun! While getting closer over pizza, we knew their wedding was going to be amazing.
Their wedding day was just as fun! These two got married on a beautiful, sunny day in North Beach at Herrington on the Bay. I was so glad that both our photo team and our video team were there to capture it! Enjoy this special season, you two, and all your upcoming adventures in North Carolina! Thank you so, so much for letting us capture your day!
