What is super super couple and wedding day! Christy and Tom had a beautiful wedding at the Turf Valley Resort. Amazing weather day with overcast skies, big puffy clouds and sunshine.
Upon arriving to Turf Valley and the suites, there was nothing but smiles. Patrick found the guys laughing and joking around, while Maggie found the girls giggling and giddy for what would come throughout the day. The girls looked incredible! Fun details and a killer makeup/hair team, Christy was show stopping.
Patrick and I got our couple ready for their first look out in the gardens. The encounter was epic… Tom was so pumped to see Christy and she just beamed. After a handful of photos, the bridal party and family would shortly meet us to cruise the property and do some great segments. We had our fingers crossed that the water wouldn’t come on while we were out on the course taking photos! Thankfully they never came on!
Yah for dogs and super cute couples! First off, I love our engagement sessions because most of them take us places we’ve never been before. For Steph and John, Piney Run State Park is super special to them, as John proposed on a hike to the back of the park… they said it would not disappoint so we of course said, let’s go and took a long hike!
We hiked back with them, their sweet pup, and Steph’s mom too! We loved our time with them. I especially loved that John grabbed a lotus flower without question when he was near one on a log so we could style her engagement ring! We loved getting to know them and can’t wait for their wedding next April!
Oh man, this wedding is so fun to share with you all today! First off, I met Lexi, mother of the bride years ago at the Cloisters at a bridal show. Lexi is a wedding planner here in Baltimore, who I’ve had the privilege of working alongside, educating brides with, and also building a friendship with. Super thankful for my relationship with her and just wanted to start off saying that. Prior to meeting Creason, I actually met her sister who I did senior photos for and once Creason got engaged, we were soo excited and honored when Creason and Caleb (and Lexi) asked us to be their wedding photographers! I’m always so honored when a vendor hires us for their daughter or sons wedding, considering she works with so many other talented photographers too.
The day was so full! And by full I mean non-stop for us. We knew going into the day that this wedding may take the cake for most organized photos ever. Like ever. But we were ready for it, and so were the families of our couple. The morning was awesome, relaxed and Creason got ready on site at Dulaneys Overlook. The bridal parties were awesome, friendly and full of laughs. Once dressed in her stunning gown, Creason did a dad reveal with her dad which was soo emotional for everyone… mom, dad, sister, Creason. Phew. Following the dad reveal, we headed out front of the manor house where Caleb would see Creason for the first time.
Oh, this wedding makes me smile when I think about it. Last year, I got to photograph Hannah and Mark’s elopement mini wedding. They decided to have a very intimate ceremony at Silos at the Falls. Their families could not be there. They rescheduled their wedding to 2021 at the beautiful and our most photographed venue, the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
The day started out hot but beautiful. Hanne was at a hotel in Baltimore city while Mark got ready at their home in Locust point. Hannah’s morning was super special. Her mom dressed her on her wedding day and then we did a first look with her dad. It was super special for her parents to be there as they had never witnessed their daughter fully dressed for either weddings. Hannah’s mom shared with me that her and her dad had been separated, possibly even divorced if I remember right but are now back together. Such a cool story this family has been through a lot together and it was evident and emotional on their wedding day. I live for those kind of stories. The two of them, Mark and Hannah shared a really sweet first look right on the water at BMI. Mark was emotional we knew he would be. They had gone through so much with planning during a pandemic. The two of them laughed out loud the way that they do so well and shared great moments with each other throughout the day. Their bridal party was awesome, followed directions and clearly had so much fun. Ceremony was out on the point, overlooking Baltimore. Probably my favorite ceremony locations to date. I tell everyone if you’ve never been there you need to go it has one of the best views of Baltimore there is.
Yah! Excited to share this wedding with you all. Kelli and Jim hired us for their Beloved wedding, which for us is a mini wedding under a few hours. We were thrilled when they asked us to shoot their wedding. We knew their focus was their families and dearest friends. They especially were excited about their vineyard wedding and all the details they put into their day. Kelli got ready with her close girlfriends and daughter and her mom. I loved that she shared a first look with her son upon arrival to the venue. When it came time to the ceremony, watching Jim see Kelli for the first time was soo sweet. The had an honoring ceremony, and they said I do surrounded by family and friends and vineyards. Everything about their day was intentional. One of my favorite details of the day was this DIYd pallet that had photos of them from adventures and with family. They also had a beautiful cake and great food thanks to Eleven Courses!
I am soo excited to share this season. I’m probably excited to share this session mostly because this was our first time back at Loyola College with our new camera gear, at golden hour, with a beautiful couple!
Malorie and Neil had a killer session and sunset showed up with a show stopper sunset. These guys are awesome, trusted us to venture all around! As college grads on property they shared some things that were different since they were last there, and lead us to where we’d find sunset, and boy did we find it.
First off let’s just make it very known that we met these guys on a cruise. And everyone reading this who is at the wedding knows how ironic and funny that is because many of the people at the wedding and family and friends know that Alyssa and Josh love to cruise. Patrick and I were on a cruise with friends for Patrick’s cousin’s baby Moon. One night Patrick and I went to the casino and met Josh and Alyssa I believe at a blackjack table. We asked them if they had a desire to be guinea pig models for us when we landed at the Bahamas in Nassau so that we could have a beautiful Bahama portfolio they would get pretty pictures. We were surprised they said absolutely yes. We gave them directions in an address for where to meet us in the Bahamas. So trusting of us and we so trusting of them. Crazy to think that that was back in 2016.
Who would’ve thought that years later when they would get engaged that they wuold ask us of all photographers in the nation to be their wedding photographers!! When Alyssa and Josh reached out via Facebook we were so excited! My response was “absolutely yes” we would love to. We were excited to make the drive up from Baltimore to spend time with our couple at their wedding and then at the after party. Seeing them that first moments the night before their wedding was as if we picked up where we left off at the bahama beach years prior.
Yah! I am so excited to share this engagement session, probably because it involves a super sweet baby named Beck! Aubrie and Tim are actually already married, thanks to COVID, but they will be really official this fall when they get married in front of witnesses, family and friends, and of course the cutest little boy!
Our time with Aubrie and Tim was so much fun. I probably helps that we have little kids too cause an photo shoot is no joke for little kids. Some do great, others don’t. But this little guy did sooo good. As I write this I don’t think he cried once!
This wedding was one for the history books. The couple – crazy fun. My bride – easy going, trusting, and of course beautiful (I say it all the time… I have the prettiest brides on the planet, inside and out)! And our groom, fun AF.
The venue was so cool to shoot at, it was our first time here as wedding photographers, but my second. During COVID my extended family actually rented Brittland Estates for a family reunion to honor the passing of my grandmother. I fully knew we would see it converted in 2021 for Alex and JD’s wedding! It is so elegant and spacious!
The vendor team… amazing and fun! Some of our favorites to work with!
Alex and JD are kind, fun, good people. Crazy for sure, just the kind that we love. We went into this wedding knowing that the priorities were people, photos, and dancing. I think dancing was the highest priority and it was evident by our groom and his bride and their guests! This also may have been one of the weddings in which guests felt the most free, wanting to be apart of something fully, without restriction, without limitation, and this is exactly what it was.
