We’ve been friends with these guys for over a year and a half as they hired us pretty soon after getting engaged. Which is so crazy when wedding day actually came about beause we felt like we just were part of the event and their crew which made our job so smooth with Jenn and James and their whole family and day.

When we end wedding days, our feet hurt and our eyes tired. This wedding was one of those that we were so excited to go through the photos and see the beauty and moments of their days. James and Jenn opted for a non-first look timeline with us. What that means is simply that they stuck close to tradition and James’ first sight of Jennifer was her walking down the aisle. Still one of my favorite moments of the day. Their ceremony location is probably one of my favorites in town as the backdrop is Baltimore in all it’s glory. There’s not another place in town with this view.

These guys had an extensive shot list and at the end of the night we were absolutely thrilled that we go all their photo priorities (even if Jenn was photo’d out by the time we finished photo segments)! From dad reveal to letter reading, to unique portrait locations (ton’s of variety) and fun details like their guest book, were all beautiful moments that we totally loved. One thing I loved and thought was really special was their dessert table, a Wedding Cookie Table.

So a fun little history lesson, the Wedding Cookie table has strong ethnic and religious ties, linked mainly to European immigrants of Catholic desert. During the Great Depression when the cost of a wedding cake was prohibited, family took pride in contributing to the big day.

Jenn and James, we loved your day. We hope for months and years to come you love to look at your photos. That seeing the faces of those you love, the smiles on your faces when you looked at each other, the moments of dancing while you’re laughing with parents and siblings, will be reminders of the love you guys have in you for your family and each other. We wish you guys the best!
