250!!!! Before I dive into the beauty and adventure of this day I have to just make it known that Emma and Thomas marked for us our 250th wedding, which is that in and of itself is crazy considering we have only been full-time for seven years. We actually didn’t realize until the following week that they were our 250th couple. Just unreal. Thank you Emma and Thomas! So glad it was you!
This wedding was so much fun. I’ve gotten to know Emma over the course of the last few months. Our time with them at their engagement session was so fun, so we knew so would their wedding be! When you first meet Emma she is vibrant and so special. She makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. She’s kind, sweet and definitely funny. Her and I share a love of using the Cricut except she is an expert, she basically made everything for her wedding!
Emma and Thomas decided not to do a first look on their wedding day and instead opted to do what we call first touch. The first touch allows people to have the experience of an intimate moment without revealing each other in all their glory on their wedding day. They said a prayer together and giggled minutes before their ceremony. But before we get to their ceremony let me go back a little bit to the morning. Emma’s mom passed away and unfortunately was not able to be at her wedding. It was emotional for her and all her sisters. Throughout the day we saw butterflies which for us was just an indicator that her mom was present. Emma, I know your mom would be so proud of you and if she was there she would’ve said you’re the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. Those that shared with me about her mom said she was amazing.
Emma and her bridesmaids got ready at the beautiful Gramercy mansion. Thomas and his guys would later join and get ready in a suite in the mansion as well. We were able to do all the family pictures prior to the ceremony with the exception of all those photos that include Thomas and Emma together. From the florals to the furniture rentals to the details and the guest book you knew Emma’s hand was in it all. Now Thomas is a gem. Though he might be quiet and an introvert he definitely is kind and he loves Emma with everything in him. Watching these two dance and be together, accepting who they are as they are was so inspiring. They both have been through a lot and nothing was going to stop them from having the most incredible love story.
Right before we delivered Emma and Thomas’ gallery Emma told me that Thomas was getting corrected eyeglasses so he could see in full color. I was so excited to know that he would be able to see his Wedding Gallery and see himself marry the love of his life in full vibrancy and beauty.
Thomas and Emma thank you so much for including Patrick and I in your day. What an honor it is for us to come alongside people like you to document such great and sweet moments in love stories. I will make a public apology for banging the gong before you did in the gardens haha. Didn’t know how much that meant to you and only was trying to be fun. We love you guys and can’t wait to see you again!
