Oh my gosh… I don’t even know where to begin! Jake and Bridget was a wedding in the books for us for so many reasons. This day started off soooo crazy with our inability to even get to our couple thanks to a barricade on the bay bridge. It was a saga to say the least. Bridget and Jake had the hands down best attitude about there day. They did a sunrise engagement session (I am NOT a morning person haha), they had already been through rescheduling their 2020 wedding so why not have one more thing to test patience!? Right!?
Other than the barricade, there were high winds, rain, harsh sun… literally a handful for weather scenarios that impacted all parts of the day. All we knew was that our couple was amazing, and they would have the best day, because that’s just the kind of people they are.
The morning started at Bridgets parents house where she experienced a sweet first look with her dad and bridesmaids. Her mom helped her get dressed and together witnessed her dads emotional and beautiful response of seeing his daughter head to toe, fully dressed on her wedding day. After a fun bridesmaid reveal, and the guys getting totally ready, all headed over to a beautiful ceremony at St. Christopher’s Church. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the tented reception space located at a private residence, a friend of the families, overlooking the bay bridge. The nautical theme was my favorite, including a really awesome sail boat made from drift wood/river wood and string where escort cards hung. I loved it! Centerpieces were also beautiful with candles, drift wood, greens and white florals. Love it! Reception was super fun and crazy special with really nice toasts from parents and bridal party members. The band rocked out and kept the dance floor alive all night. Sunset was amazing, we definitely took advantage of the lighting and invited our couple to get amazing photos before sundown.
Bridget and Jake, what a day you had. Stories and stories to tell, but most of all, we hope your photos tell the best story… yours. Thank you so much for choosing us, trusting us, taking us with you into 2021 from 2020. We wish you guys the absolute best!
