Super excited to share this Boston destination wedding today up on the blog. Ashley was a bridesmaid in her friends wedding when we first met her at a wedding in Maryland on the Eastern Shore! Whey Ashley got engaged we were one of the first vendors she booked and we were so excited! She knew she wanted to hire us from the first time she saw Patrick and I work at Alex and JD‘s wedding.
Shooting this wedding was so much fun for us. We flew in the day before and we’re able to get into our hotel and see them at their welcome party. The day was beautiful full of beauty. It rained the night before and that morning, so we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to be outside for portraits, however… we had incredible weather!
Willowdale Estates is a gorgeous wedding venue privately owned but situated on hundreds of acres own by the state. The historic mansion was perfect for all Ashley and Tim’s amazing moments, from getting ready to a first look and all their family photos. And we can’t forget their sweet pup too! I always love first look days because it takes anxiety out of the day and opens the doors for joy and anticipation for all involved! Some of my favorite moments of the day included the segments with their dog, bridesmaid portraits out on the patio (looked like something out of Europe), cake cutting underneath the café lights, and all the beautiful photo options for newlywed portrait time!! I should mention that I was 36 weeks pregnant shooting this wedding so thanks goodness Melissa joined us! She allowed me to focus on all my favorite moments and sit reception out a little bit! Didn’t want to have a baby at their wedding. Haha!
