We can’t wait to share Ashlee + Tyler’s October wedding at Christian Royer House! This was a beautiful day – we never expect a wedding that’s Halloween weekend would have been over 80 degrees, but we were blessed with amazing weather and we made the most of it! I loved meeting with Ashlee during the planning process – she was so organized and so excited for their wedding day. I immediately knew when I pulled into Christian Royer house that we were going to capture some incredible portraits for them. The leaves on the trees lining the driveway were giving PEAK FALL vibes. Both the bride and the groom got ready in the house, which was so fun and charming. The girls were upstairs doing hair and makeup in one of the bedrooms. We came out to the front porch of the house to do the bridesmaids photos in their robes, and again I could not believe how warm and beautiful the weather was. Ashlee got dressed with her mom and when she was all ready, we brought the bridesmaids to the cutest little sunroom to do a bridesmaid reveal! I love to photograph the girls seeing their bride for the first time – always so fun! After that, we brought her dad in for a bride/dad reveal and they exchanged gifts. Around the back of the house and outside, our awesome second shooter Kelly photographed the guys getting dressed and then did a mother/son reveal on the lawn. We moved to a sweet little bridge for their first look and vow exchange, and then jumped right into newlywed portraits! After a small segment on that bridge, we took Ashlee and Tyler down the driveway to capture Newlywed Portraits with all of the fall beauty, and they were incredible! So much color in the trees, we were so lucky. We went from there into wedding party portraits, bridesmaids/groomsmen separates, and family portraits. Our timeline was great and we finished up all of the photos with time for the couple to chill for a few minutes before they had to get ready for the ceremony.
Ceremony was on the lawn overlooking the pond, and was absolutely beautiful! After the couple said “I Do!,” we did a few remaining extended family photos, and everyone went to join cocktail hour. They had delicious cocktail hour food, lawn games, and the sun was setting over a beautiful time. Kelly and I went into the tent and captured all of the details for their reception. I loved the fun fall touches with the white pumpkins and seasonal signature cocktails. They entered the tent for a beautiful reception, and at one point we snuck out for sunset photos but didn’t get much of a sunset in the sky. That’s totally fine with us, especially when the sky is so soft and pretty, we will always take the time for a few more newlyweds and give our couple a few extra minutes together.
I realized during reception that it was actually a full moon that night, so of course we had to grab them one more time and run out for a dip/kiss with the giant moon in the background. Make sure to scroll through their day until you see it. What an amazing ending to a beautiful wedding day!
Ashlee and Tyler, it was a joy to be part of your wedding and we are wishing you a lifetime of happiness! xo
