What a session for the records! If there’s a couple who rocked their rainy day engagement session, it’s these two!
First off, I’d like to say that there wasn’t any rain in the forecast, or rather it was like 10% and not even on the radar, literally. Miranda and I made the call that we would go through with the session! We met them at the Pagoda at Patterson Park. We used to do sessions there ALL.THE.TIME… like in 2015… but for the last couple years none of our couples chose that location. We were pretty excited to return to that gem in Baltimore because 1) we obviously have gotten better over the years but 2) it meant something special to our couple.
Their dog Piper did awesome and although didn’t find the camera too friendly, she rocked her segments nonetheless.
We headed over to our next location in Fells Point and driving over the clouds seemed really ominous. Patrick and I started wondering if the rain would come and holy moly, would it. We called our couple who was changing into outfit 2 and we proposed that we shoot as long as could and if we needed to call it off early, we would and raincheck our double date (since indoor dining was limited). Sure enough, we started shooting and the rain started to come. But to our surprise, Miranda and Curtis were LOVIN’ it and so were we! We did photos with and without umbrellas. The rain would stop and start. The humidity created a haze which made photos even prettier AND then… a RAINBOW over Fells showed up… there was no way were were stopping. These guys absolutely rocked their session. We even were able to get our fill afterwards of meat and cheeses at V-NO Wine Bar and Shop in Fells.
Miranda and Curt, thanks for the great adventure. Definitely a memorable engagement session for us and thanks for trusting us and being so flexible. Definitely got a little taste of wedding day too, which we can’t wait for!
