The day started at Hotel Revival, a really cool Parisian Hotel in Mount Vernon. The collage wall, holy moly, how gorgeous. I was so excited to know that the wedding party was getting ready there, followed by a really sweet first look on the greens of Mt Vernon, with some chill in the air and a slight breeze.
When I walked into the room, Amanda was in the makeup chair, beaming. I was so excited to see our bride, and to know that she was so excited to see us was the best feeling. Seeing us made it feel more real she said, and we gave her a hug and got to work. Her details were beautiful, her dress stunning, and my personal favorite, the reveal with her dad. He gave her a music box, custom sound, a song from her childhood.
Followed by hugging her parents was our walk to the green to see Matt. Matt looked awesome. Loved the tuxes and so excited to see his almost wife. The four of us spent the next 35 minutes taking portraits until family and wedding party showed up for their photos. We rocked and roll and travelled around the square until we knew it was time to Uber to the Belvedere.
The Belvedere in all its beauty was ready for our arrival. The girls hid in the suite, while the guys spent some time in the owl bar. Down a beautiful ballroom, with chandeliers above, Amanda walked down her aisle to say I Do. A short and sweet ceremony, followed by a heavy cocktail hour with some night shots included, our newlyweds mingled as the vendor team prepped the ballroom for reception.
Guests night danced hard as Amanda and Matt mingled and thanked guests. They had a private cake cutting which I thought was so cool and unique. Guests had the option to watch as they danced and laughed and drank.
Amanda and Matt, thanks for trusting us. You didn’t even do an engagement session with us and you still trusted us…. Thank you. We love your photos and your love story and are so excited for whats to come!
