We met Melissa and Jon on a beautiful wedding day in early October. Patrick and I photographed Melissa’s sisters wedding, and Melissa and and Jon were in their wedding party. It was an incredible day full of beautiful moments and I just remember thinking how much fun and how sweet this family was. We would have no idea that months later Melissa and Jon would get engaged and then ask us to be their wedding photographers! We can’t wait for their May wedding.
Our time with Melissa and Jon was so sweet. We met up at the Cylburn Arboretum in Roland Park and found ourselves cruising the property finding gorgeous light all over. What an incredible weather day in July these guys had. I think one of my favorite parts of the day was finding out that they love sports. We started incorporating something into our sessions to get even more natural reactions from them. We give them a topic and their topic at one point was… “Together you own an ice cream parlor… what are two flavors do you love and sell.”
They came up with Firecracker for a a Red White and Blue ice cream combo. You know sparks are gonna fly when these two get hitched! Until then… enjoy engagement and this season of life. Wedding day will be here before you know it!
